This is a true incident happened at Guruvayur laste year.
A number of aged and orphaned devotees live in the vicinity of the Guruvayur temple. They eat the prasad of the Lord, sing bhajans all through the day and lie down at Melapathur Auditorium in front of the temple. Their life is totally immersed in the Lord. On August 8 2006, out of blue and like a Tsunami, Pastor C.L. Jacob of Emmanuel centre, Palayur, and a group of Christian ruffians came in two ambulances and started evicting 16 odd aged devotees and forcing them into the ambulances. The aged persons including women, who have been in the service of Lord Guruvayurappan for three to four decades ,resisted the move to leave the temple and appealed to the Lord for help. They knew that the evil design of Pastor Jacob was to convert the entire group to Christianity. Local people rushed to the scene, finally could save them from this evil priest. On seeing this the Christian ruffians backtracked. By then the local Sub-Inspector Premanand arrived. He ordered the Pastor and the group to go away and released the hapless devotees.
But the soul-harvesting drama had its causality. 70-year-old Sundaram died of suffocation and cardiac arrest due to the pushing and pulling by the Christian goondas. Also 65-year-old Ammini committed suicide due to the fear psycosis and threat of future conversion. She had %u2018Vaka Charthu%u2019 darshan of Krishna on 12th, listened to the %u2018Lalitha Sahsarnama%u2019 archana, had lunch at the temple and jumpe

This message is for all those who don\\\\\\\'t discriminate and cursing the temple. Just one question, they have such great thoughts on non-discrimination, they probably don\\\\\\\'t have doors in their houses. I assume they welcome all and sundry at their home, to those who come to meet them, or to just click pictures of their wall paintings and furnitures (and ignore them :-D ) or just come to rob them or may be with a bomb to terrorize them. You guys are great, but not everyone. You guys can have some other temple where you have such policies, spare people like us who have some sense.
Sorry to counter the article whoever wrote this.. thre is no restriction in Shabarimala temple for the entry of non hindus.. any man who beleives in god can enter in Shabarimala for worship no matter which religion he belongs to.. Moreover in the Story of of Loard Ayyappa it is clear that one of his best friend belongs to muslim community called "Vavar".. confirm before you wrote something....
Hi, Lot is made about Yesudas not allowed to enter Guruvayoor..He certainly can if he converts to Hinduism.If he is a real Krishna Bakht he should do that. Krishna certainly says in Bhagawat Gita that he is the The God..If Yesudas believes that convert and get in. How about that.I will be for people of all religion getting in Guruvayoor when there is Uniform civil code in India
George Iype seems to be a communal fundementalist, someone like John Dayal. Iype should understand that Guruvayoor is not a tourist spot or is he jeoulous that country heads are visiting only our temples? Do you accept hinduism (your ancestral religion)? Christianity and Islam are intolerant monolethic religions and those who follow it (like Iype) seems to love denigrating other faiths. This article is the best example where he exposes his real colors. Why isnt he commenting on the discrimination of Harijans by Church. Do you know the Harijan coverts have to stand at the back in Kerala Churches, even their dead bodies are buried in a separate cemetry...Can Iype throw some light on this? Also Iype cleverly forgets the fact that the Guruvayoor Deveswom wealth is used for the benefits of local muslims and X-ians. In Sabarimala, govt charges double the rates for electricity and water to fund the local churches and christians. Are you aware of it, Mr Iype? Where as there is free electricity and water for Malayatoor church!!! Remember central travanocre forests are depleting fast because of 'cross'-platings. Please highlight this too..
