i think that the idea expressed was totally correct .it is here that all the research and scientific work are going on .this is supposed to be the most peaceful area and of course the hint that the breaking down of the Babri Masjid maybe a reason is also true .i totally agree to this idea. thanks sanchayita
A thought prevoking topic.Hitherto people were not even bothered to know what is happening in other part of India esp. on terrorism . It is hightime that they should realise that South India having a highly potential IT development areas is subjuct to terrorism also It is hightime that they should realise their responsibility to to remove in the bud such terrorist activities

Dear Hasmi, This is just ot share your view that those hwo support terrorism know no religion except that of money. But then Raman (author) is right to great extent in saying that Babari Masjid demolition in 1992 must have helped the ISI and other terrorist organisations by making Muslim youth vulnarable to their emotional feelings!
See , it happens with everyone. If a Hindu (or any other religious community) can be vulnarable to his religious (emotional) feelings to do a anti-national act then in case of Muslims post 1992, it is but natural to happen.
I think what he meant was incedents like Babari demolition only strengthens the hands of terrorists so must be avoided!
I am sorry but after reading your comment, I felt like writing to you so did it. Regards, Shriprakashsingh
do you mean that the muslims are supporting ISI now?think before you write such things. whoever gets money supports the terrorists, be it a muslim or a hindu or anyone, be it a politician or a president.
I agree with the Author & would like to put stress on the fullish role of the so called media. I strongly agree with Sunitha, she has spoke my words little mildly. "The media especially the english news channels seem to go overboard on the latest attack in Bangalore. Infact in one of the channels the newsreporter was continously harping "why IISC? Why not a Wipro or Infosys?" ... which sounded very disgusting to me. These guys seems to put ideas into the minds of terrorists. While what happened in Bangalore is shocking, as a resident of Bangalore I don't see it as threat to peace in Bangalore, it didn't not in any affect the life in Bangalore. These TV channels sole motive is to increase their ratings which will ring in more money for them ... they are as much a threat to the security of this country as the terrorists are. I will call them the 'Rascals'.
Another terror strike, and the 'analyses', interpretations and investigations have begun. Gives one a feeling of déjà vu. Since the last terror attack, had any lessons been learnt and action taken by the authorities to implement security measures to reduce or eliminate such incidents with the seriousness it deserves? Police are put on 'Red alert' (whatever that means) and security 'beefed up' by lathi wielding policemen at some places after an incident has taken place. This cameo continues for a week or so and finally peters out. After which we are back to square one. What we need immediately is a dedicated, efficient and proactive intelligence gathering network, even infiltrating the terror modules (On the lines of Israel's Mossad) so that real time information can be given to prevent terror strikes. This would also help in pre-emptive counter measures on terrorist hideouts with dedicated Quick Reaction Counter Terrorism Teams. Without an efficient intelligence gathering mechanism, it will be impossible to prevent such incidents especially in urban areas even if vast amounts of resources are committed on ground for the purpose.

Dear Colonel, Can't the thing be organised the Mossad way? The ususal machinery may have to go through all the controls and regulations. In such a case we should be able to organize in the Private sector. Just like theY6erpPrivate Detective Companies.
What are the requirements? Can we ask for a recognition from the highest Indian authorities Like Home or Defence Ministry to float such an effective out fit to compliment or independently operate and report to the President Of India. to skip any bottlenecks?
Why can't our system even after having and getting so much intelligence report don't avert the terrorist activity. According to me the reason cannot be just the religious discomfort but also due to widening unemployment. More people can be put into task to protect our mother nation.
The solution you proposed at the end is definitely a big deal. It's not just upgrading our technology in the field of Home Land security. It involves great commitment. Commitment from Government. Commitment from Armed Forces. Commitment from Police Departments. Commitment from Intelligence...... Commitment from entire Defence system... Zero corruption in defence etc etc. I am not saying that everyone is a traitor/curropt. There are many sincere officers. But when it comes to Home land security, we need 100% sincerety. No exceptions what so ever. WHICH IS A DREAM and i guess WILL REMAIN A DREAM..
Over population, no proper citizen identity system (ex SSN in USA), no accountability of how people make money etc etc. Many things have to be changed to achieve what you've proposed.
Of course, nothing wrong in dreaming. Let's dream. I wish I could make a difference.
