Bird flu
by Smita P on Feb 23, 2006 02:33 PM  Permalink

I feel that we are making a big issue for no reason. To add to this our media is playing a major role in panicking the masses with their latest updates on the issue. The people employed in the poultry industry are more susceptible to the disease. The govt. must try to build back the confidece amongst the people and convince them to eat the poultry products, rather than making the big issue of the entire matter.

Chicken or Love?
by Nitin on Feb 23, 2006 02:29 PM  Permalink

Hi,

Your article is really good but only the english, I fail to understand what is so good about the chicken that you are ready to risk your life (and even more important your love). Hey man its only the taste of the tongue. Agreed we are not americans but life is equally important for us .... after all its just one life. So eat well and live well (and let the chicken live too).

Nitin

Hello,

If u r eating in unhygienic places and surviving till today, its miracle.
If everybody thinks and lives like you ,there was no need of science.
Be like You are and dont try to push other people in to your ideology.Bcoz everybody is not created like you.
It is proven fact that indians also get diseases due to unhygenic conditons as is americans.

So friends, please dont eat chicken until the bird flu scare is off.If you eat and get bird flu its U who is going to suffer and not the AUTHOR of this article.

Literary fried Chicken
by Sameer on Feb 23, 2006 02:05 PM  Permalink

I have no beef with the content of the article, but mustn't Rediff ensure a minimum literary standard ? This reads very much like crude user reactions on Aaj Tak etc - not worth publishing, not without a lot of editing, at least.

Bird Flu
by Dr. Mohan Kini on Feb 23, 2006 02:00 PM  Permalink

When more people die of traffic accidents and in a tropical country like India where the temperature nowdays crosses 38 degrees, the chance of contacting bird flu is remote. Why the fear? You might die of an accident before contacting bird flu.
