Jessical Lal Murder - Judgement
by Roshan Varghese on Feb 24, 2006 10:24 AM  Permalink

It is quite shameful and shocking to hear the judgement on Jessica Lal Murder case. Those people who has political influence and money can buy anything in India. Even they can buy Judges and Police officer.

A model is killed for not a fault of her at a party. There was lot of evidences and everybody knows who is the culprit. Still he and other who involved in this got freed by the court.

This is not just one case. It is repeating in India. The government and judiciary take steady action to make speedy action on criminal cases like this.

Common man is only doing a mistake, they are using their right to vote. Those who made M.P.'s, M.L.A.'s and Ministers are not at all interested in the country's development or for the justice to people. Most of them are maximise the opportunity to to something (not just something) for their family. Their kins are also taking the law in thier hand. They can do anything. They can shoot a girl who values laws of a country.

The High Court, Delhi Govt., Central Govt., Human Right Commission to think serious about this case, else these type of incidents will be repeated.

Justice for poor and rich?
by Ravi Sharma on Feb 24, 2006 10:23 AM  Permalink

Unfortunately in our indian society money power is stronger than law and order.A rich person had every right with money power. He can commit henious crimes,if caught can apply bail, if not granted bail can be admitted in hospital(mostly heart pain)and enjoy life.Even after if prosecuted and punished for a crime committed, can avail facilities like wine food girl,TV,VCR.Fridge, best food.
So our judiciary, jail administration and police are puppets in the hands of rich.
On the other hand poor person can be put behind bars for 44 years for no reasons.Lame excuse is that our courts are over burdened.
Who had stopped Government to recruit more judges and open fast track courts, but they will not do it as at every where in parliament assemblies criminals are running country convenient to their illegal criminal wish.
No hope for this country.

jessica murder case
by rahul on Feb 24, 2006 10:09 AM  Permalink

Alas! we have proved we are the scums of the earth. What system functions in this country? The judiciary talks LOUD, and blasts it's lungs out on MCD or any other Govt: deptt not functioning. I would love to see it show it,s Lung Power now. Is this what judiciary is all about. Did the judge who pronounced the judgement ask? If Manu Sharma & co: did not kill Jessica who then killed her?Did he ask the investigating officer to produce the culprit or else he would hang the investigating officer for doing a shoddy work. Laugh Indians Laugh. Time is not far away when the masses will arise awaken and thou shall see hundreds of millions of wreched Indians on the streets linching the politicians, and those who feel that Law is their personal fifdom. And for the juduciary? Please clean up your own house first! Can a common man get justice in his lifetime, in this country. Millions of cases are piling up every day and we see our Lordship/s as being demigods who do no wrong.

Hopeless judiciary
by ashok on Feb 24, 2006 09:55 AM  Permalink

Whats the use of writing here ? This is for rediff..my previous thoughts have not been shown here !

Again I am repeating.....use 'truth drugs' on the culprits. Things like scopalomine, sodium pentothal and LSD can make just about anybody spill the truth no matter what time has elapsed. CIA still uses them with deadly effect, so did the Nazis.

High time we boycott people like Shayan Munshi and the rest present on that night....spineless junk they are. And to top it all, dump the judicial system as it is much better to settle ones own scores. Gives a lot of peace of mind and QUICKLY.

And what is wrong with our so called leaders ? Mr. President...are you NOT intervening ? Time and again we keep on hearing your advices and suggestions on how to make this country a worthwhile place to live in.....why are you maintaining your humble silence on this wrong judgement....surely you could not have been influenced by a Haryana minister and his thugs !

Vagaries of Courts of Law!
by Dharmendra Goel on Feb 24, 2006 09:55 AM  Permalink

PKL. Feb.24th Friday, 2006.
Well most Indian Liberals would be aghast at the
acquittal of the murderer of the Ms Jessica Lal ,now lately , set free for witnesses going back on what they originally attested to investigators, and prosecutors failing to provide credible grounds to secure conviction from the Courts of law. This proves in such poor light the
vagaries of Law and the truth that courts deal with law& Legality rather than ensure "Justice"-D.Goel

Feeling sad to be a part of such society!!
by Ankush on Feb 24, 2006 09:21 AM  Permalink

Yes,my words may sound very ckiched but its true,i m feeling really disgusting to be a part of this society.Whatever happened in Jessica's case is really very very shocking.i mean i also feel that manu sharma is not the real culprit.Real culprit are the eye witnesses who turned hostile.Instead of hanging manu sharma, they deserve to be hanged.Pity on them.
