They let a murderer get away
by Smita Khandekar on Feb 24, 2006 01:45 PM  Permalink

What happened to Jessica Lal was indeed sad, but what has happened now is worse. They let a murderer get away. I am not a great believer in our judiciary system but this has really shaken my belief in humanity itself. How can a person cold-bloodedly take another human's life and live a normal life. DOes he has not have a heart? What about people like Shyan Munshi? and others who helped Manu Sharma get away. Its not only his friends who helped him , but each and every person who was present at the party and saw the crime happening and did not speak against the culprit. All these people are guilty of murdering Jessica Lal.

THE GREAT INDIAN JUNGLE-RAAJ SHOW
by ms.priya datta on Feb 24, 2006 01:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i think ms.sabrina lal shold definitely write to the president mr.abdul kalam & appeal for justice.the culprits have to be brought to book.its true their loss is incomprehenssible but jessicas brutal death & the courts judgement has rattled each & every one of us.the people sitting in higher echelons of the judiciary & the police should hang their face(s) in shame for making a mockery of the entire system . the blindfolded lady holding the balance in her hand must also be hanging her head in shame & humiliation. since the above said people have already done so much they might as well now remove the blindfold from the ladys eyes ,disrobe her & then proceed to blacken her face completely to- finally establish the 'jungle-raaj' .this should be as easy ,for them, as falsefying jessicas entire death theory was !!

No justice
by srinivas on Feb 24, 2006 11:37 AM  Permalink

This Incident proved that the Rich and Influential can get away with any crime. And I strongly believe now that it is wastage of time and money in going to court in any matter for justice.

Appeal to the President of India
by Vasan Thatai on Feb 24, 2006 11:20 AM  Permalink

Dear Readers,

It is time a grand appeal is made by all of us to the President of India.
I am left with any words. Time and again it has proved that judiciary in india is an ass. I am ashamed of belonging to a nation where-in it is always seen that a law abiding citizen is not given justice and the convict is set free.
We need to have a reaction from the Head of our country. It is only possible when our voice is loud enough. I appeal to all readers to continue appealing and keep this issue live.

Sabrina Lal speaks out!
by Kunjan on Feb 24, 2006 11:11 AM  Permalink

In this age of where everything happens within a blink of eye indian law action remains slow and lags behind. LATE ACTION IS AS GOOD AS NO ACTION.

BEST BAKERY CASE is also one of the many example.
People who are authorised to implement law actually wait till the witnesses are pressurised to change their statement. I agree with Sabrina CIRCUMSTANCIAL EVIDENCE should be considered. The anguish, the hurt her family has suffered is unfathomable.

The CORRUPTION RATE IS ON HIGH RISE BUT THE JUSTICE HAS MAINTAINED ITS SPEED.

Best Regards,
Kunjan

Didn't want Manu Sharma hanged
by Rajesh A on Feb 24, 2006 10:47 AM  Permalink

The questions asked here seem to be making fun of the interviewee. What will they do meeting the police commissioner when higher ups have been delinquent? The family of Jessica Lal seems to be a forgiving one, for they agree they didn\'t want to have Manu hanged, actually anyone else would add one more line to it, \"his father rather be hung\", for it is his upbringing and fault, what will a police commissioner who stands at attention when jokers like that appear and pay with their lives to offer those clowns security? I would here like a la-beant singh, these police commissioners can get those criminals shot rather than do supari work for gansgters at these politician\'s orders.

Judgement
by padmanabhan on Feb 24, 2006 10:43 AM  Permalink

Indian Judicial system has gone to ruts. It is high time to revamp it. Currently the system is to do anyting and get away, if you have money & muscle power and implicate innocents if you have any grudge towards him. Hope our degraded politicians & political system will wake up before Uganda & Rwanda situations repeated.

Corruption is getting judicial system at knees
by common person of india on Feb 24, 2006 10:41 AM  Permalink

Its really very shocking, our judicial system had become property of the corrupted politicians and so called IAS/IPS..... and other beaurocrats. Who is getting punished? Only the common person, and the sons and daughters of these high society peoples can do anything. they can murder anyone, they can rape anyone and they are not going to be punished.
I request our president sir Kalam please do something, because the gap is widening, and i fear about the time when common public will loose faith in judicial system, and they will try to do justice in their own way.
this will ruien my country.
Please save my country........
