Shame on the Indian Judicial system
by rameshwar mahay on Feb 23, 2006 10:04 AM  Permalink

Indian judicial system has hit the rock bottom by acquitting the accused in Jessica murder case. This case will be add another feather in the cap of super rich families who care damn about the system and always get away from punishment for heinous crime they may commit.
Shame on the Indian Judicial System.

Sad day in justice history
by Deepak Kapur on Feb 23, 2006 06:29 AM  Permalink

This was a very sad day in the Justice system in India. The judgement gives more motivation to Rich and famous that they can do a crime if they like and would be freed with the help of their influential daddy.

India is moving to become a global power, but this dream cannot be achieved without strengthening our legal system. We need to learn to value other human beings more.

It is indeed a very sad day.

hard truth
by Siddharth on Feb 23, 2006 04:21 AM  Permalink

I totally appreciate this column. That's the actual facet of our police and crime investigators.

I hadn't (till now) realized that there can be any manipulations in circumstantial evidences and was limited to only hindi movies. Every Indian can see that if the criminal is rich and powerful then no one can do anything. The writer has written some influential words that will invigorate some pulses.

Shame
by adarsh on Feb 23, 2006 02:15 AM  Permalink

It is indeed a shame that this kind of corruption and injustice still exists in our country. Indians should protest this matter, because if Jessica cannot get justice, none of us can.
