Jessica Lall's MURDER
by Carl Borges on Feb 22, 2006 03:38 PM  Permalink

The Acquittal in itself is horrendous and absolutely shocking.

The Lawyers of Today ( Not ALL - but a Majority of them ) are Blood Sucking Monsters who sell their Souls to the Highest Bidder without any Conscience or Morality.

The Media fails to follow up on these high profile cases. They are in the news for a week or two but nini years later, few can remember the details. Space is too important.

What if it were my sister / daughter or Yours ?

Who were the 100 odd witnesses who turned hostile ? Let us have their NAMES. Let them be shamed in public so they may Never hold their head up high in Society !

Was Bina Ramani one of them ?

These people call them Socialites - the Elite of Society ? They are the dregs of Society ! The Real Society is the Common Man who goes out of his / her way to help a Person in Need and STANDS BY their Word !

You may say it is easy to stand in judgement of these "Witnesses" or criticise them but let them inform us where the THREAT came from ( or the Payments )!

All Indians should Hang our Heads in shame for their Behaviour.

jessica lal's case

I totally agree to what Indira madam has said and its a shame to the democracy to see such things that are happening. Its nothing much a common man in this country can hope for. Its so true that British tyrants have gone and Indian elected tyrants has just taken over. We are still slaves and would remain slaves till each Indian stand up for his rights. NRIs like me feel that there is no future for a country which corrupt to the core and brain drain is just going to continue and one day our place would be like Afghanistan a country which doesnt have a past and would never have a future.

The only way to take action against the rich and powerful people is to cut there political incomes and naked them before the media.

Rest in Peace Jessica. Your murderers will never!
by Anil on Feb 22, 2006 03:28 PM  Permalink

The way the entire proceedings of this particular case has happened, it is a mockery of the Judiciary.Granting bail to the main accused is shocking. Witnesses turning hostile was inevitable. The delay of 6 years is pathetic. It is like giving time to the perpetrors of crime to plan their release.

Our most distinguished President who is a pride of all Indians had declared recently " Why is it that only the poor are hanged for their crimes and the influential go scot free".

If this is going to be the trend of handing justice to the gulity then the day is not far when Bounty Hunters will surface. Judiciary Please Wake Up, be more scientific, be more responsible.

Shame on witnesses on turning hostile even after swearing by the Holy Books. Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Chodenge..... has lost its meaning.

Rest in Peace Jessica, God is above law and his vedict cannot be manupulated. Your death and the injustice done to your soul and your family will not go waste. Judiciary might rise to this call and might change its pre historic ways of handling cases...

Its all about money honey!
by Benwen Lopez on Feb 22, 2006 03:23 PM  Permalink

Finally it is the system which has got away with murder. Someone has to become the bakra....and the police cannot cheat the public by putting some poor person in the dock as they normally do because the murder took place in an affluent venue.

As rightly put by the author....our system relies heavily on eye witnesses. Because its an easier form to transfer money. But since there is an almighty Judge....these murderes will pay in blood. Be it from the Judge to the accussed.

I completely agree with this. On one hand, our law is after Salman Khan who killed a blackbuck, and on the other people who are real murderers gets away with it. Shame on you my judiciary!

by Shivani Chander on Feb 22, 2006 03:14 PM  Permalink

It is very easy to say that Jessica's real culprits are the ones who did not speak up, but why did they not??? Not because they did not want to...they were scared and no one to protect them, not the police. There is no system to protect them, why should they put their life on the line??? It seems that everything is above the law...it is resting under the cozy comfort of money & political connections. And the common man is bearing the burden of it all. This is the world we are living in.
