Lost all faith...
by Dijender Saini on Feb 22, 2006 04:24 PM  Permalink

It's a shame of the highest order. The so called high class gliteratti has lost shine and now their hippocracy stands exposed. This kind of blatant manipulation of the system by the rich and the famous was previously seen only in the movies.

Today I feel ashamed of being an Indian. I have lost all faith......

nonsense
by r.s.rawat on Feb 22, 2006 04:20 PM  Permalink

This is total nonsense of justices. For sure money have changed hands, not only to the employee's who were eye witness but among the guest's who were there and seen everything, police, judges and lawyers. Why don't anybody do a sting operation on judges. Why Income Tax raids are not done against judges. Manu Sharma & Vikas Yadav and other party to them have to reply and surely punished in another court i.e. GOD's court and Iam sure the judgement shall be given within their life time.

Indian judiciary system has no teeth

Outcomes of such cases are nothing new. Police should rely on scientific evidences also not just eyewitnesses.

Matter of muscle and money power
by Dr. Jasbir Chugh on Feb 22, 2006 04:18 PM  Permalink

The acquittal of culprits in Jessica murder case is a matter of great concern to the issue of security of a common citizen of our country. It is a clear cut pointer towards the possibility of a murderer to go away unpunished by using power of arm twisting and money. Surely ,if investigated in depth by a dedicated and efficient investigating agency, the weapons used in murder could have been easily traced more so when the number of these is more than one. The crime should have been investigated by using modern scientific techniques of lie detection, polygraph etc. used both for alleged culprits as well as the witnesses turning hostile. Even if needed the police could have employed third degree methods as they do for non-vip criminals to bring out the truth. It is shameful that life of a young and innocent girl has been put out by her own peers who have now managed to go scot free by using pressure tactics of political, money and muscle power. The higher courts must come to the rescue of aggrieved family and take up the case for further hearing so as to let the ends of justice meet.

Jessica Lal's rea; culprits
by N Ramamurthy on Feb 22, 2006 04:14 PM  Permalink

In the name of justice , great injustice has been done to JEssica. THis case has to be transfered to CBI for impartial re-investigation. The terms should include how the witneeses turned hostile, why actual witnesses did not come forward to give the witneses.
We should not allow any more Sharma's to escape the thr' dubious methods.

Jessica Lal
by Pankaj Vatsa on Feb 22, 2006 04:10 PM  Permalink

It was indeed the most shameful day of our country. Times like these people get provoked to take law in their own hand. In this country law has two face one for the rich & powerful and other for commoners. I think instead of wasting time on postmortem and analysis lets get together and do whatever is possible now to fight this case and support Jessica's family. May God bring death to her killers.
