I feel the true culprits are the Police and the Judges. They are not doing their duty with sincerity and loyalty. Suspend these irresponsible Government bodies first. Failure in investigations is the reflection of failure in our System.
it says justice dealyed is justice denied.. but in this case the justice is not just delayed but also denied... why is that only the rich and powerful are aquitted.. an example was the BMW case... where is justice in this country... it's high time some reforms are introduced in laws... as a citizen the hostile vitness shares a moral responsibilty to the crime and is no different from the criminal himself
I wonder why the society is called 'civilised society' ? It should be categorised as A. Page Three Society (consisting of politicians, buerocrats, police, criminals and the affluents -businessmen and others)B. Civilized Society (These are the people other tha 'A' above and subject to laws of the land and rules and most of the time vitimized )Is jusiciary judicious in justice ? Well I won't like to invite contempt proceedings ! Verdict is a sad day for our country and and Civilized Society and a victoty for Page Three Society. NGO's please react ! Pronoy and Rajdeep - think of we the people and start a debate and ensure these 'socialites' like Beena Ramani and party, face the people. I think change in our political system is only the answer ! Needless this 'Page Three......' is a danger to the'C..... Society
As an Indian and part of the educated populace, my head hangs in shame at the blatant miscarriage of justice by the strong and the powerfull. I think all of us are culpable since our acceptance of such acts without even a whimper only emboldens the culprits further. Also the trial judge is blameworthy since he allowed this misuse of power to take place even when it was within his power to do something. All in all a very despicable happening which should serve as a wake-up call to our legal luminaries to try and rectify this, somehow.
Can the PM and the President look into this case and react? It is known that in our country the judiciary is for sale and this proves yet again that money is more powerful. The murder has happened in front of so many still the murderers get away!!! What a shame and what protection we have in this country ? Can somebody give a call?
This entire episode and the final verdict, proves only one thing. There is no way that the powerful can be made accountable - whether it is the corruption or such heinous actions.
I am sure that those left free and "Ba Izzat Bury" would do such actions again and yet again some other family would suffer and society - people like you and me - would condemn such actions.
This can ONLY happen in India and I am utterly Ashamed of the state of affairs of my Country's Judiciary System, Police & Politicians. I know so many of us feel the same of such an action. If anyone feel we can all get together and make some change, please write.
It actually proves today that NO One Ever Killed Jessica Lal !!
I along with my family members offer our condolences to the family members of Jessica Lal. God Bless You All.
The sheer absurdity of the verdict is that no one is charged with the killing of Jessica Lal although many present had seen / heard her being shot ! A murder has been committed in full public view , yet no one is punished , even after the killer is caught. Are the law makers listening ? Only public anger can retrieve the country from such callous negligence.
A very heart rending story. It is sad that this murder tale has finally come to this end, with the murderers set free, if they are indeed the murderers.
It is a shame that Jessica Lal's murders have been acquitted. It is a shame. They have money, muscle and connections. But this is a common experience in all the walks of life. How long are concepts like democracy and justice going to remain out of reach of those who do not have those 'resources'?
I fully agree that those who let the culprit go are equally to be blamed. Can't we, the members of the civil society gather some courage to come forward and speak out to identify the culprits- once at least. Perhaps that will augur a new beginning.
