Jessica Lal's real culprits
by ramesh on Feb 22, 2006 06:34 PM  Permalink

It is a pity on the judicial system in India. How can these people be acquitted though the reason for the witnesses turning hostile is well known. When such people are acquitted, they feel they have won justice right on its face and people lose confidence in the judicial system as such. Well said, witness protection is a must in a country like ours. People acquitted will now take law in their hands for they know how to break justice and how to come out of cases... what a pity.. when will the law wake up to this?

Shame Shame Indian Law
by Jagdish Unni on Feb 22, 2006 06:32 PM  Permalink

I totally agree with Indira in saying that the police is completey at fault for botching up the case. This was in all aspects an open and shut case had it involved any other layman.
The point that this drives to the the citizens is if you are rich and powerful you can get away with anything and the Indian judicial system is just a hogwash. How else can one explain another rich and famous actor being imprisoned for killing a black buck but Manu Sharma not being indicted for cold blooded killing of a human.
The guilt that these so called elite acquaintances of Bina and Manu will carry with them should hopefully drive them to insanity.
I hope there is something called as Karma and God in this world for thats all that will give some peace to Jessica's family.

Jessica's murderers personify Cow Belt feudalism at its worst
by Chiranjit Banerjee on Feb 22, 2006 06:30 PM  Permalink

It was a foregone conclusion that those who murdered Jessica would not end up in jail once the bail petitions were generously acceded to. Bollywood wannabe Sayan Munshi's laughable excuse of not being able to comprehend Hindi cuts no ice at all since he features in Hindi movies!!! The others at the Ramanis' party zone are as cuplable of suppressing evidence and they ought to be ostracized by the cocktail and canape circuit of Delhi but that could be wishful thinking on my part given the incestuous relationships that characterize this amoral set of chronic revellers. Cow Belt feudalism has no time or respect for women, particularly those who are ambitious enough to pursue a career which is still considered a sacrilege in most parts of Harayana, western UP and Rajasthan. Till these parts of India evolve in their civilizational cycle, working women are advised to migrate to Mumbai & Bangalore to pursue their careers without the lurking fear of Manu Sharmas and Yadavs chancing upon them with their libidos and guns hagnging out!!!!

by raj sharma on Feb 22, 2006 06:22 PM  Permalink

Dear Readers

Verdict on Jesica lal case once again proved that injustice always prevails in India. Our legal system is so pathetic and incompetent that always these high class killers get away.BMW case or Katara case or jesika case all these verdicts have proved that u can buy anyone in this country. I sincerly pray to God to provide justice to departed soul of jesica by punishings these cowards in his own way.

what is this??????
by khushi on Feb 22, 2006 06:10 PM  Permalink

jessica's judgement has brought shame to our police and judicial system. how can a man known to have committed murder go scotfree? how could he get bail? this shows that there are many lloopholes in our system.
i fear that people might not take arms and forget state mechanism. on reading the news my mother said that no one is safe here.
isnt this shameful that people have no faith in state.
this is high time that state should amend there means . state should appeal for the case and punish the guilty.
i even appeal President of India to do something in this case.

Jessi ki behen jaisa koi nahi
by naresh on Feb 22, 2006 06:07 PM  Permalink

Surprised to know that Jesicca lal's sister is accusing the Police,Forsenic experts & Institutions !!!!! for the out come of the whole related issues, she should be fortunate enough that it has been proved that Jessica has been Murdered & police have identified the body as hers, else in many of the cases if the accused is a influential & powerful person gets scot free by getting declared that the body is a "Lawaris Laash"
MERA BHARATH MAHAN !!!!!!

Jessica Lal murder case
by ashok on Feb 22, 2006 06:01 PM  Permalink

I had posted one message this morning in this forum. Hope it is shown here.

By the way, why are you blaming the witnesses for keeping their mouth shut ? Do you have any idea what these cut-throats are capable of in real life.

Manu Sharma...a son of a minister...that too Haryana...a known thug state. Vikas Yadav himself is a bad character....son of an ex-don turned Rajya Sabha member D.P Yadav. Well, they have to be protected at all costs...be it money or intimidation or both.

My question to you lawyers is why the hell you depend on what witnesses have to 'declare' ? As I had written this morning, why not use 'truth drugs' on the likes of Manu Sharma and Vikas Yadav ? Is it illegal.....don't think so....the CIA keeps using them to make culprits sing like a canary. The Nazis too had used them effectively in the 1940s.

Damn it, use Sodium Pentothal or Scopolamine or LSD on these culpits and carry out the interrogations. See how they would agree to the misdeed and give a word by word account to whatever happened that night.

It is a shame that many interrogation agencies know about them, but still keep mum. Use science and NOT eye witnesses who can be BOUGHT.

Is this a society weare living in or anarchy. My message to those in charge of the Legislative, the executive and the judiciary. Its time you did something to justify the authoriy you hold and to prove that you are meant to be trusted and are not threats to the existance of us common citizens of India as some of you have proven to be.

Witnesses turning hostile
by Puthurajan on Feb 22, 2006 05:56 PM  Permalink

Dear sir,
Why no action could be taken on witnesses who turn hostile? or why the questioning of the witnesses cannot be taken under video cover and the same cannot be used in the court to give evidence? If necessary amend the law accordigly. Otherwise people with muscle power and money power can turn any witness hostile. Besides the Judges also might be scared to give verdit aganist people with money power and muscle power. If such an open murder case of Jessica could not be proved, what is the purpose of the law and court? It is all a farce and common man have lost faith in judiciary and only those having muscle power and money power have faith in judiciary, because they can twist the judges and court to their advantage. What a pity!!! And we boast of democracy!!!
