is it indian states fault
by Tabrez khan on Feb 26, 2006 03:29 PM  Permalink

sai I do agree with your views.
The problem lies in our inability to educate our people in what ever capacity. We are just swept away by emotions. Yes its true that islam is one faith which commands a bonding with no territorial borders. The muslim sentiment is badly hurt and the indian community in particularly also wants our gvernment to convey our feelings to the danish government. As for my thinking hurting sentiments of any community by degrading their beliefs cannot be viewed as freedom of expression.
By and large the protests are being done only to vindicate our stand and also because the community feels that the west is adamant at doing one or the other thing against Islam. Any violent acts perpetuated by the protesters are dissappointing and will definetly bring a bad image to the community.

Sai I am a regular reading to your blogs, but I find this one disgusting. Why, not that I find Hinduism a weak religion but it gets all the negetive publicity which it can do without becuase people like you dont object and stand up to it. Im not saying cut off the painters hand, 51 crore ruppes for the cartoonist etc. But you got to make a difference, some ones got to get a message that it not right to step on some one else faith, because it personal. Its in bad taste.
But I guess you living in the US moving with the social circle or putting up and being one of them, has taken its toll.
