spiritualism
by Nitin on Feb 21, 2006 12:54 AM  Permalink

"There is a genuine desire in people to do service. Whenever there is a natural disaster we did not order, give an edict to people to go and do seva (service) etc. It just came up naturally in people. Hundreds of people gathered together, they collected food and material. All this is a result of spiritualism."

I do not know what sort of spiritualism is being talked about here. No body spiritually nurtured me, but still I do have natural tendency to be of service to humanity.

What i think the solution to corruption can be is:

1. Education.
2. Creation of higly paid jobs.
3. Good Legal system.

In presence of these three components, corruption would be lowered.

Regards,
Nitin

jai Gurudev,
it is well said that corruption is curable and i think all those who are doing corruption should read this and try to implement it so that india become zero corruption country , moreover, the most promising thing was Gurudev's appreciation for youth of india......and just want to convey through rediff to Gurudev that please try to motivate as many youth as you can to do some productive work for the country.

corruption
by PRASAD ANL on Feb 20, 2006 09:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

sir, unless our politicians/socalled leaders change their mind in right direction, nobody in India can stop corruption. Corruption's root is in political leader itself. Apart from this man should change himself basically. This is also impossible. Because, inspite of Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Vedanta, Upanishad/s, Bhagvadgitha, efforts of saints like Purandaradasa, Kanakadasa, Basavanna, Shankaracharya, Paramahamsa, Sant Kabir, whether we have changed ourselves ? NO. Gandhiji, Buddha, Christ has made their best efforts in vain. This bloody castism should go. Otherwise our India is nothing but a furnace with all sorts of intercast/communal clashes. Or you have to force people to adopt moral rules compulsorily, by imposing strict/stringent civil rules. Can you do that ?. Why government allots 50x80 site ? Let it alott only 30x40 to all. Nobody should sell the vacant site allotted to them. He can surrender the same to the government at the market price fixed by the government. Likewise, uniform salary/wages should be paid to similar categories allover India.
Construction of houses should be in uniform style all over India. Then only socialism comes to reality.

RE:corruption
by Thobey Srinivasan on Feb 27, 2006 07:24 PM  Permalink
It is a Leftist nonsense to be obsessed all the time about food, corruption, exploitation and such negative aspects in the name of survival.

If man could be happy with food, clothing and shelter, why did the erstwhile USSR disintegrate?

Mr Bharath, it is spirituality that distinguishes man from animals.

And don't keep decrying everything just to show you are a rebeland don't keep questioning everything in the name of being very scientific in approach!

Spirituality begins where science ends.

''Art of survival''
by Bharat on Feb 20, 2006 07:13 PM  Permalink

I would like know Mr Sri Sri is helping how many people who are under BPL who dont have food, cloth, and shelter. I suggest these people should work towards "Art of survival" for those under BPL before working towards art of living for those who have everything.
Without proper food cloth and a shelter for everyone here all these philosophy of so called "ART OF LIVING" is just rubbish.

World coming to an end
by divakar on Feb 20, 2006 06:52 PM  Permalink

Guruji,
The scientific community feels that the world would come to an end with the damages caused by human beings to the environment. They also beleive that it can be stopped if we start building our environment, develop forests ....
Now that you are a powerful force in the universe and people are ready to act upon your words, I request you to kindly look into this disastrous issue, throw some light on it and build a team from your organisation to check this disaster that we are causing to our succeeding generations.
May I draw your attention on this please ?
