Comments by Wazir beautifully sum up situation today and group and party who caused it. Manmohan Singh is part of that party responsible for our downfall. Our bankruptcy forced reforms of 91-92. How much one can trust such a party (and communists ) which went on making mistakes not just for 1 or 2 but 50 years and still are not ready to admit that they were responsible for downfall of our country during all this time. Only time we were doing willingly reforms in economic and foreign policy, that too very minimal ones was during NDA government when Jaswant singh was FM.
Let us hope Manmohan Singh does some thing. But doubts start appearing when without doing much he tries to take credit for doing a lot during 91-92 and does not want to give even iota of credit NDA parties.
This is certainly not the way to build consensus. Consensus is not built by just writing articles claiming consensus and singing false past glories and abusing opposition leaders but giving respect to all views and then trying to build consensus towards a right goal.
Only person in government, who is trying to do build such a spirit for rebuilding up our country again is our President Dr. Kalam.
It is clear that Iran is in violation of the treties that it has signed.So it is obvious that it is not a country that can be depended to tell the truth or behave in a straight forward manner.Let us not be moved by the narrow votebank policies of SP and the left parties who prfess their love for muslims. Cant we see that they are their worst enemies? By helping Iran to acquire nuclear weapons by their narrow political views they are putting all people, be they muslims or a hindu or any other atheist for that matter at equal risk with an irresponsible and liar like Iran? Sir, I am really surprised by the left parties' and SP's statements about the vote on Iran.They are virtually catering to narrow and parochial feelings.They feel that by supporting Iran they will garner Muslim votes. Nothing can be farther from truth.First of all the muslims are as much part of India as others.Their gut feelings are the same as any Indian.They feeel equally threatened by a belligerent Iran bent on narrow feelings of exporting extremist views and actions as any other Indian.Let us not forget.Every Indian be it a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian will be equally affected by an intolerent state like Iran using its nuclear arsenal to blackmail the world.So let us leave this narrow view and support the international effort to contain Iran's nuclear bid.It is in our own interest irrespective of who is leading the cause, be it Us or Europe or Saudi Arabia.Truth remains as it is.I pray against all odds that good sense will prevail over thes self appointed custodians of Muslim welfare.Fact shows that they dont lift a finger to help any muslim in his need.They are keeping them backward so he will listen to him and take to the street at their call .

most of my life same congress party spoke of socialism/self reliance/ non alignment which completely isolated us not only as a dormant society who cud\\\'nt even learn simple art of road making/motor cycle/radio making(while talking about space and nuclear power for which we are even now begging ) but even for small things like shmpoo\\\'s and shaving razors. PM-INDIA's POLICY Healthy internal policies and corrupt free internal governance with due respect to constitution pave way for external transactions/policies that will have robust consensus. Please refer back to decissions of present government and judicial comments and judgements starting with Jharkhand;Bihar;Goa etc.Qutrochi;Mr.Chawla;Survillance on SC Judge (At least 6 such instances of recent past)clearly tell about ruthless governance,come what may. This does not mean the Political horse trading in case of Bihar/Jharkhand etc. But when even the obvious has to be adhered to constitution Governments have no choice but to to follow the system/due process and never be rutheless or violative of constitution. No good thinking Government shall govern on the basis of wrong precedences (if NDA or other Governments have corrupt in their Govt, another ruling party shall not take excuse to have such corrupt in ntheir Govts. Simple principle: Two wrongs do not make one right). Many such good principles usher in Deligent, Responsive, transaprent, Accountable and Counrty (Country as awhole) welfare centric government sooner than latter. Its great that Mr.PM quoted the wisdom of Pandit Ji. But What would be panditji's response to invading a country based on "bad intelligence" (read oil resources)? The non allignment movement do not mean find the most profitable thing to do. The Non allignment means means, find the right thing on a case by case basis and stand by it. The PM did not even go as far to condemn the bad intelligence... forget his response to 35000 innocent civilians killed in Iraq.
I read some news paper quoting Mr.Manmohan Singh say "...US is far more powerful country than many think..." Good god. The first lesson in politics is "Politics is Perception". What can we say about the political maturity of a PM that would make such a statement in public ??
I dont think I would even call him a mature politician ... forget about the visionary stuff. There is someone who commented here that we need the nuclear power more than gas and oil. Why do you think US with all the technology still produce only 19% of the electricity from nuclear as against 70% from fossil fuels? Nuclear power is dangerous. You have to baby sit the nuclear power plants and the nuclear waste is dangerous!!
For PM to talk on foreign policy he must have some personal knowledge of both Indian and world history of which he is totally deficient.Hence he is just talking like an ignorant person on a subject where he is busy making the greatest blunder of going in for N-deal with US which will harm India irrepairably.
For electrical power we need generation at affordable costs.Atomic power generation at imported fuel like uranium will just be out of reach for our country.Hence,our PM is surrendering India's independence for utterly rubbish technology.India has wind power potential of more than 100,000 MW and wind power can be installed in as short a period as 6 months.Hence,where is the need for the kind of deal that sabotages our defence capability.Solution will lie in our home-grown atomic power generation technology and in use of large sources of coal,hydro,sun and gas energy.
Our PM has gone nuts in signing the N-deal which puts our independent survival in great risk living in an environment where we are surrounded by powerful hostile countries who are all the time preparing to demolish us.
It is good for the PM to make speeches such as these but the problem that PM and his UPA government is only talking nothing is happening on the ground.This govenment has 2 economists in its ranks the PM himself and Mr Chidambaram but yet the houisng interest rates have gone up by 2% since the inception of this government .The common man's dream of buying a house shattered.The government talks about employment gurantee but where is the emlpoyment going to come from at present is is the PVt sector which gives 90% of employment but your government is trying bring in reservations even here on the basis of caste religion and destroying this hope of the common man to get jobs on merit.The communalisation of the armed forces has already began by the appointment of a committee to look into no of muslims in the forces .This Government may have great people but governanace is pathetic.The PM quotes Nehru but throughout his life Nehru only looked at foreigners if he left the foreign policy and served for the country things would have been much brighter for the common man.The congress slogan of Congress ka Hath Aam Aadmi ka Saath should be Congress ka Hath Nehru-Gandhi Family Ka Sath.
