Although we agree fully with you Rajeev, but it will take a lot of effort to fix this issue. The primary issue being- loss of High Self-esteem for Hindus as we lived for centuries under the Moguls, as poor laborers, seeing the rich and wealthy as non-Hindus. Then we do not have a formal 'patshalla' type school which will direct all Hindus kids from tender age with a religious cum science cum moral, cultural and social education. The religious heads from different sub-sects and different regions inside India must unify under one umbrella and come up with religious standard- much like an UGC educational system or as Islam and Catholics follow. You cannot blame the Indian govt for everything. The govt is run by politicians, who represent power- emanating for his constituency. If we get these common people and its families enrolled into a standard Hindu system like a Madrassa or a Jewish system in America, you will over time hear one voice coming up in higher systems. Miracle wont fit it. It has to be fixed from ground up.So, what needs to be blamed is our own Un-Organized, Un-Planned Hindu religious system-every group is on its own. Common man understands group power very easily.
Informative artice, I hope this actes as catalyst for INDIAN Hindus.
What can on say about Indian Hindu, There is hardly any hindu left in India they are either supported of BJP, congress, comunist or other they are not Hindu, strange they don't even consider Indian first they are one of those supporter then comes teh rest. They might be dooing PUJA at home bu tthey can't express publicaly that I am hindu. Strange thing is there is no longer same RSS who cared for hindu, they have also becomes political party now. I Was once part of RSS but I hate them after they became political and for got there real goal.
What on earth does this ass mean that in India, Christians and Muslims are treated as minor royalty and are oppressing Hindus.
I am a Christian, and have never felt treated in any royal way at all, nor have I oppressed any Indian, Hindu, muslim, or otherwise.
Perhaps this ass should instead appreciate the fact that such a disproportionally large number of Christians (compared to overall population) have contributed so much in various fields like Education, Medicine, the Armed Forces, administration, etc etc...I could go on.
In case the ass did not know, christians do not get any reservation. Nor should they, nor any other religion. Any reservation should be made on economic criteria.

"I am a Christian, and have never felt treated in any royal way at all, nor have I oppressed any Indian, Hindu, muslim, or otherwise. " What a language?! Is this your culture to use abusive words when someone tells the TRUTH? Or is it the garbage from your missionary education? If you havent seen any Christian militancy in India, then you havent visited North east or Kerala. Kerala forests have been also been destroyed, with 'cross' cultivation, temple loot, destruction etc. Facts should be learned first and only then you'll appreciate this factual analysis on aparthied against the Hindus. - Thanks

Says a lot about your openess sir the way you criticise the author. If you see the way people are converted by missionaries and people who oppose it are branded fundamentalists, it is clear how much patronage is given by the state - can your missionaries go and convert the same way in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan?

IndianFirst (whatever it may imply), Regardless of the merits or otherwise of what has been stated by Rajeev Srinivasan in his article and you in your comments one thing is clear. You obviously and most definitely are not one of those Christians who make positives contributions in the fields of "Education, Medicine, the Armed Forces, administration, etc". Your forte would appear to be, and you seem to thrive in it, personal abuse. Of course it is always possible that you are suffering from some sort of Freudian complex and really wish to apply the abusive reference that you ascribe to the author to yourselves. Bharat Prashar

though your observations regarding yourself maybe true, but it does not hold true in the larger context. i fully agree with your views on reservation, but the pity is our present day politicians and a majority of ur brethren do not.

You idiot, first mind your language before criticizing the author. Your language itself shows that you are an ignorant person. In which country, a Hindu chief minister wants to give 5% reservatiion in all government colleges and offices ? It happens only in Andhra Pradesh. Which country in the world subsidizes Haj piligrimage. It happens only in India.
Three hundred fools died in a stampede throwing stones at the devil and the Indian government declares compensation for the victims. You fool, can you not see this special treatment ? You receive all these benefits from the state and you still ask for more. We are ever ready to give more, but are you ready even once to thank us ??
