Mr Masood
by Anonymous on Feb 09, 2006 11:13 AM  Permalink

In my view Mr Masood doesn't know what he is talking about, or he doesn't want to admit the truth. Any independent nation if invaded by a foriegn power with its own vested interest are not to be called "Occupiers" , may be there should be some other word, Mr Masood knows best ..

Foreign Forces in Afghanistan
by K P Mohan on Feb 07, 2006 03:58 PM  Permalink

I agree forces in Afghanistan should not leave now as otherwise even the current Security will be in jeoparidy. But one thing the world leaders already know that the root cause of Terrorism in varous countries is Americans/British/Russians themselves. They indulge in supplying arms and ammunitions to neighbouring countries and follow the policy of divide and rule. Example. North & south Vietnam, North & South Korea, India-Pakistan( Kashmir Problem), Iran & Iraq, and a no. of African Countries.

In Afghanistan they created the Taliban for driving out Najibullah by supplying all types of Arms. Today the same Taliban has become the devil for Americans.

The Americans & co invaded Iraq under false pretext although Sadam was evil person. But there are plenty of diplomatic channels to resolve the problems and
help countries fight tyrants with the support of the people.

Now they want Iran to disown the Nuclear Capability.
Why not America set an example by dismantling their Nuclear Arsenal. People living in Glass houses should not throw stone at others.

If America really want Peace in the world they can convene a meeting of all these countries in their soil & resolve problems.

Right of evrey individual

Mr.Massod seems to be understanding America's standing of American Occupation. Many Anti war activists feel Afganistan or Iraq war is killing of civilians even I am also worried about the innocent people killed. In a diplomatic point of view somethings in this world can change only when some big things happen to establish the fact although the outcome of that would be loss of some innocent human lives. That's the way the world has been for atleast 2000 years starting from republic voices in Rome.It has taken 2000 years for democracy to be established in major parts of the world.Although there will be some bad things happen in a open country like america it cant happen openly.I am an Indian working in US and I can see Hindu temples in all US cities.India and US are the best examples of humans with various differences living in Peace. There may be so many in US,India,Afghanistan having difference in opinion but until the the spirit of freedom is in individual spirits the divisional forces cant withstand it..

Let the domocracy shine here
by Nagaraju on Feb 02, 2006 01:38 AM  Permalink

I agree with this. There was someone required to stop this. It was an highly uncultured, inhuman situation in Afghanistan when Taliban was ruling it(unruling).

It is now important for Afhanistan to make a strong political system with democracy as it's mantra. World contries must keep supporting afghan democrats to make sure that afghanistan is the safe country to live and safe for the world. It is required for Hamid Karzai to take initiatives to encourage the polical parties to strengthen themselves to build a strong democracy.
