Who is Sunita Williams? What has she done so special , that we, Indians should be talking about her ?
Not born or bought up in India, a person who probably does not know what probably is. Still the media does not feel ashamed of making a hero of her. Look at those scientists who have spend their life with limited or No resource trying to make developed India.
Shame on you, Media folks for making a person, who has not done anything for the Country , hero. Shame on me who reads such articals and still don't raise voice.

I AGREE WITH U. I THINK OUR MEDIA AND PEOPLE HAVE GONE MAD. V ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW WHOM TO APPRECIATE AND WASTE OUR TIME IN NON SENSE THINGS.
When will this nonsense end? Sunita Williams is not Indian!!!! She has NOTHING to do with India. Amazingly, not a SINGLE headline in Rediff exists about the discovery of skeletons of almost 20 children in Delhi. Rediff has gone down the drain this past two years. Has there been a change in management? Somebody needs to take charge again and bring back real journalism. This is really sick.
When will we stop glorifying people who have long left this country for comfort and riches of the west. It pains when Hargobind Khurana is ranked higher that Mother Teresa in the list of Nobel Laureates.
Who cares if she falls from the sky and lands up on the rediff office and hopefully destroys it! She is not Indian, cares a fig about India, she is an American of Indian origin! I think the media needs to set its priorities right! What you feed as news thinking it is necessary may not be what is wanted by the addressed audience! Your failure to initiate investigative journalism will land you into a crap pot!
It heartning to see Sunita's achievements. But, I really don't understand what the media is doing here. Enough have been covered on her in the past months. There are numerous problems and issues on which the media can concentrate. I don't understand the rationale behind the headlines on front page, about 'sunita carrying samosas on Journey to space'.
Where's the urge for constructive journalism have gone? Its time for all of us to contribute in a small way to alleviate our society and Media should be the torch-bearer for a good change. Its better if the media can highlight and post news which are more useful than others.
