Why only Saddam... what about America?
by Suvankar Sanyal on Dec 30, 2006 09:51 PM  Permalink

It is a very shock full day for the entire civilized world. It may be true that Saddam Hussian's regime ruled Iraq in Iron Hand may be held responsible for many deaths. But its very shameful that former President of Iraq was penalized with death penalty. As for crimes against humanity its America who is the top offender. Its Atom Bombs dropped against Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed millions of innocent Japanese. Why shouldn't the US president was convicted and hanged to death by the world tribunal? Its seems America has become the DADA (big-brother) of the world. Now its seems the unipolar world is dominated by America, its important to counter balance the growing Americanism with a new super power. Also its shameful for entire Asian leaders as they sit like impotent bodies. Its seems again the White Skin people are ruling the globe. As a common man I want to tell the fellow citizens of our nation to note this event. As one day America might turn its greedy eyes on the land of golden sparrow. Its now or never...for us.. lets start our protest... against the global dictator nation.

by sagar on Dec 30, 2006 09:43 PM  Permalink

not only saddam, there are lot more people on earth playing with lives of common people,if prosecuted properly many of our leaders should be hanged to death.saddam is not more dangerous than bin laden or mullah omer, what Bush could do is to hang a helpless fellow.
I swear its true bush will've to pay the price.
Hanging saddam is not good.I pray to god[if at all he is there]please put saddam in heaven.
Bush wait.. count your days dear.Today is the dark day in history.I love saddam and Iraaqis.please be patent let God decide what next to happen.
My humble request is please don't kill each other.
Be united and I call all asian countries to stay together.Asia can defeat America but only if we are united.

Dictators, Fear and Freedom.
by Divya Zachariah on Dec 30, 2006 09:41 PM  Permalink

I was greatly disturbed and shocked when I saw Saddam Hussein being led to the gallows. There was absolutely no respect for the dignity of the individual being led to his death. Well its true he killed many and was ruthless and hard. But the fact that his captors did the same thing to him proves the very character of the future leaders of Iraq.

I saw the television screens flashing pictures of the noose being tied around the condemned leader. The game is about who is more powerful.

Strangely, I have become to observe a pattern of dictatorship even in democratic nations. American leaders are fighting a war that the people of America dont support. The media out here in India are so mighty, they choose whom to dethrone and when with their breaking news. The Govt. of Karnataka has ordered a group of farmers to hand over their fertile lands to the govt. whether they like it or not.

The leaders of the world will try all kinds of methods to get us to entrust our lives in their hands, the most used method being the generation of of fear.

I fear for the loss of privacy and independence we enjoy. I dont want it to be taken away.

Execution of saddam is a syntactically correct, but logically an error prone.

It gives a warning message to all other nations from US

victory for all shias
by alibhai on Dec 30, 2006 09:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

this is a great day for all shias and a sad day for the sunnis. after centuries of persecution at the hands of sunnis, shias are once again standing up on their feet. saddam was an evil person who killed 3 lakh shias in 2 weeks in basra . but no one will remember or prtest this because most muslims are sunnis. however see the joy on iranian peoples faces. although they hate usa they also are happy . allahu akbar God trruly is greatttt long live the followers of Ali

Foolish u r.very foolish and immature comments. He met his own fate.He was not a saint. He killed innocent people for his own selfishness. On the contrary, according to muslim laws Saddam should have been hanged in public or he should have been cut one by one part of his body in plublic.

Live like saddam die like bush
by Shailendra on Dec 30, 2006 09:29 PM  Permalink

this is the most outrageous boasting of us regime and this execution has made saddam as a "victim of snob nation and petrol politics" now more hatred and disbilief will come for us and its allies.this will boost the urge for vengeance in the moslems and other nations like russia china japan indonesia germany andmany more (remember previous deeds of us led wars and war victim countries)the names of terrorists r only pretexts ,actual masterminds r us's enemy nations which r using the names of established terrorists/groups.so if u have enough power than use it in constructive ways and make others life good rather thanmaking it miserable for u and others.
