It's really a shame for Munai immigration department for doing this act. If they can give 2 day transit visa to a French National then why they can't give 1 day transit visa to those kids. I think Mr. Vijay forgot that, if we want to get anything done from the govt officials then we need to give BRIBE. As these officials don't understand any other language apart from money.
Mr Vijay don't expect that any action that is going to be taken against those officials.
Being an Indian and enjoyed the Indian tax payers money in all through his education, these parents made their children as citzens of other countries, if given a chance they too will become.
Any body who dose this should be imposed heavy fees to enter India and should not be allowed to enter just for holiday and fun making(in the guise of meeting family)
during my travel overseas and to India, I saw that Indians who are settled overseas, espcially with Green Card of US behave a bit paranoid. LIke they feel like they are rulers of India..and they think that they can manupilate everything right from immigration procedures. They start saying.. why dont we change this and that.. etc.. First thing they dont respect their country..for everything they say, "In US if this thing happen, we can sue you" etc.. I think Mr.Vijay being an Indian, you forgot to get Visa to this country for your kids.. This is generally the mistake done by citizens of high headed developed coutries who think that they are rulers of every country and can get visas at will .. so please get your basics correct before blaming officals.. you NRIs are the people who are making officials corrupt by spending your money at will when you spend vacation in India.
I feel what officals did at Mumbai airport is correct and it is a lesson for NRIs who take INdian officials for granted...
my mom was travelling to spain nearly ten years ago in air india. She was having her valid visa for spain but could not board the aircraft as the idiot person in the air india ground staff asked for france visa,
U really dont require transit visa if u r boarding the same day.
In country like India we still have reservations for such type of people since 50 long fruitful years
We are still living in a country where people haven't forgotten the 300 years of English patronage. No wonder, people would be ready to lick the whites' feet to please them and treat their own as a piece of crap.
Good work airport guys, keep it up, we expect some more from you.
I read this story. Though parents were wrong but still Mumbai immigration officials could have issued transit visas for kids knowing the fact that their parents are Indians. In a similar case I was issued a transit visa in Toronto for my kid.
If we do not help and respect our own citizens, how could we expect others to respect us. Thanks to illigal immigrants, where ever you go holding an Indian passport, you are subjected to descriminatory treatement..

Mr. puneet shrivastava read the article carefully, they forgot to carry it with them not forgot to apply for visa dump. Don't be 'J'
If the same thing happens to anyone outside india as indian citizen, none of the immigration department what so ever country it belong will allow entry. This is what is expected from immigration department. This was travellers mistake to take things lightly. He might be knowing all the pros and cons of getting Green Card or US visa but how can he forget a small point that he need visa for india as well.
This totally inhuman. Firstly, the airline should have checked it before boarding. Not withstanding the mistakes of the passengers, the rule should be applied logically and not irrationally. No wonder we, Asians still suffer from a slave mentality to white community. I have seen it in many of these Asian & mid east countries, India is no exception. Come on guys- India is not a poor, timid nation any more- with booming economy reaching to a developed super power status in futue, all these officials must change their metality and act more responsible. Do not forget IT brought dignity to Indian image (I am not one but have experienced it after my 30 years of overseas employment)
