First of all I can understand the trauma of the parents. One thing that amazes me is how dumb can they be by forgetting paper work required for the entry. Why dont they forget the required paperwork when they travel back to USA and try to argue with the personel there. There are rules for everything and bravo to Indian officials for upholding those rules.
Hi i totaly disagree with u its all ur falt not to carry VISA and please dont balme the French guy his excuse was ligitimate he did not have a VISA but u did dont blame other for ur own mistakes....good that the Indian gov is taking firm steps ....u will learn a leason form this
It does not matter whether the french authorities checked only the green cards.
Since the couple admits the mistake of not carrying appropriate travel documents, they have to face the consequences. The immigration officer was well within their powers to deport people who do not have a visa.
Let us not play the racism card to our advantage when it suits us. Why did the couple not accuse the french authorities of not checking their Children's Visa to India? They seem to suggest that whatever the french did, the indians too should do.
It would be a good lesson to these careless people. Because of their tardy attitude their Children suffered.
I sympthaise with Mr.Vijay's Family. It is shameful to know Mumbai Airport officials actedso highhandedly. This is once again a case of unwanted concessions provided to foreigners when the same is not being extended to NRI's/PIO's!! At a time when India is being talked of in the world, it's a pity some stupid officials lets us down like this. I'd request Mr.Vijay to take this matter with External Affairs Ministry and not leave it here!!

Mistake is yours how can you blame some body you have to check for the documents before you Flew any where. If it is US you will be in Jail.It is India PPL of Kind hearted that why they deported you without any other Charges or even without Questioning.
Please stop this kind of coloured reporting. It happens in every country. I vouch for this. A Sri Lanka travelling on his official passport, from London to Colombo, flying Emirate Airlines, was refused transit VISA in Dubai. I also know of an lady, 75+, made to sit on a stool in through night in a cell - not even a chair - after flying in from Del - Ontario, on purely technical ground (the flight got delayed and she reached a few hours late). She was not some labourer, but a professor of English (retired) and wife of a professor emmertius of one of the Canadian universities. She was oput in a cell over night, because the flight was late byu a few hours.
The most disguesting persons on this planet are the NRIs. Please check how did he behave with the customs officials? As the President Kalam mentioned once, these peopl aer perfect example of civilised being as long as they are abroad and the moment they land in India they start with "thoo jantha nihin hai Main Koun Houn".
As for the Frenchman, a person who is having a valid onward journey tkt can be given a transit visa, while the NRIs whose destination is India cannot be given such a visa. PLEASE FALSE REPORTING.
I do not understand why you are cribbing about the behaviour of Mumbai immigration. If you as a responsible parent forget to carry visas for your children then I do not see why you are blaming them for deporting the kids. You happen to be IT guys and I believe you should not have been stupid enough to get kids without visas. For all your bantering, what would they have done if I landed up in the USA without a visa. I guess I would find myself in Guantanamo Bay.
The behaviour of the immigration is absolutely disgusting, Maybe the immigiration official wanted his palms greases which didnt happen. I myself being an Indian Citizen have encountered it when i was asked to pay Rs 500/- because my business visa to Kuwait which was a fax was slightly unclear. Finally when i told him i didnt have money he agreed for Rs 50/- that too under the board which said "paying & accepting bribes is a offence". I would suggest placing cameras by the anti-corruption bereau with its control room at the CBI HO, unless something like this dosent happen, all of us weather Indian citizens or NRI s will all keep suffering at the hands of these corrupt officials
