Justice still exist in our Country!
by jibak majumdar on Dec 19, 2006 02:13 PM  Permalink

It's heartening to note the right judgement of Jasica's murder case.
It is essentially required to make witness protection platform to expedite to resolve the criminal case.
Thank you.

Jessica case a right answer to law jumpers.

Respected Sir,This case has at last proved that time cannot cover up ones sins even with the help of countless lies, money and power influence. It is a new story written in the history of Indian jurisdiction, now no more witness will run away from their right to speak the truth in fear of blackmailers. All those convicted will have to face a fearless witness in future in courts. This will surely bring down crimes as now one has to fear those fearless witnesses.Shobha Nair.

Jessica Lal Case
by Provat Kusum Ghosh on Dec 18, 2006 04:27 PM  Permalink

Read Mrs. Bina Ramani's article. I agree with her that there should be a witness protection act/scheme/program in place to protect vulnerable witness from undue harassment by influential accused/criminals like Manu Sharma. But does the statement she made about witnesses like Zahira Sheikh & Shayan Munshi apply on influential witnesses like Shayan Munshi? I doubt. Even she herself had played cat & mouse for sometime to the Delhi Police reprobing the case for reasons best known to her. She is trying to project herself now as a hapless woman trying to fight the high & mighty when she herself mingles only with high & mighty being a well known socialite. Anyway, best of luck to her for her future endeavours with a request not to call such SOBs to her Tamarind Restaurant (serving liquor illegally)less they kill some other girls in their fit of rage.
