Sir I read Mr. Dastoor's Story. I feel sad when I read or hear such stories of our soldiers. The author was lucky to have come out of that jail but there must be many Indian soldiers who must have perished and some must still be languishing in Pakistani jails. We are proud of them. We salute our Armed Forces.

I happended to watch 1971, Amrit Sagar\'s recently relesed movie. Which made me surf the net for more info on POW\'s. Cap. Athale\'s story confirmed the atmospere in the PAk jails. But i m sure, ther might be more to it. What is the state of the remaining POW\'s? Is our country govt still insisting on getting them back? How many of them are still alive? Wht about the families of these brave soilders? And most of all...why can old conflicts now be trashed and sum humanity shown by the Pak Govt? 36 years isnt a small duration. RJ Smita. Radio Mirchi.
'Don't worry, one day you will come here as a conqueror and you can see it to your heart's content!' ==> I love these lines! My salute to those brave souls who defend our borders risking their precious lives.
I read the article..It seems he has eaten lots of chick peas(cholay)"cause lot of nasty odor surrounds his memoir> I hope the mental institution which he resides NOW is giving him good dose of xanax.
makes for interesting reading. We watch programs on the second world war on national Geo and Discovery all the time. The allies, Germans and Jews and others speak at length and all these experiences are captured for posterity on tape at least through their recountings. If only we in India had such shows or documentaries before the generation that fought for and defended Indias freedom attains heaven.
