Shibu Soren's crime
by M on Dec 06, 2006 07:51 AM  Permalink

Just look at the facts of this case. An clandestine deal was struck to save a government. The same man, who we all consider father of economic reforms, had no problem paying Rs 5 crores to save his govt. And a man, who comes to know the deal is killed. The killer goes on to become a cabinet minister. And it takes 12 years for
the killers to be pronounced guilty. Guess what yuga is it here in India - Kaliyuga!? May the providence save
this decaying society!

Sibu Soren Matter - A Blot in the status of Parliament
by Pandurangan K on Dec 05, 2006 11:06 PM  Permalink

By finding Sibu Soren guilty, it is once again well proved that the matter of bribing MPs had taken place for voting in Parliament. It is a shame to all the Indians and especially to the then parliamentarians and to greater extent to the all, who became MPs after this episode happened. They, the MPs, never bothered to admonish the bribe payers and/or receivers. It is very very important to mention that this bribing has happend in the matter of parliament itself. This encouraged Sibu soren to take the extreme step of murdering his immediate enemy. Everybody can understand why. Not only that, he was made a Minister not once, but twice. It is because that bribing was done by The Highly corrupted Congress Party and its corrupt leaders. No wonder, India has been rated as one of the most corrupted country. Is there any point asking the public to help fight corruption? If PM is really interested in fighting corruption, then he must take this bribing matter in parliament to admonish/book the then bribers and bribe receivers. Then we can say, he is an honest PM. I and the public will fight the corruption tooth and nail.
