It was the biggest blunder of many blunders of the Madam'Government.Had Bangladesh not seperated, the Pakistan Government would be wasting all their energies in fighting the Sso called Bangladeshies and India would have been more peaceful.
It was the biggest mistake by India after independance. You can not support this ungreatful nation and its people. Every Bangadeshi is a Pakistani supporter. No one has any support or admits India's role in their independence. Their security forces now fire at our BSF Jawans. India did the biggest mistake by allowing Bangladesh to become an Islamic country, it should have made it a secular country, like us.
These bangadeshis are supporting NE India's extremist groups, they suport ISI and all anti-india activities. And yet Indian govt. can not speak straight to them.
More than 2 crores illegal Bangadeshis are living in North Estern states.
Even God can not save the plights of the our North-East brothers.

Bangladesh was created as secular country. Sometimes in the middle though it became a islamist country under the rule of Ershad. But looking at the fate of pakistan, they seem to be realizing what's good for them and trying to become friendly with India. Like Bhutan they are also helping to nab the ulfa and other NE militants.
Off late there's no news of discrimination on the minorities in BD
India should never have fought the 1971 war for the ungrateful Bangaldeshis. They now support Pakisthan, aid the ISI for spreading terrorism and send truckloads of refugees into our country. I was amazed to find so many of the bangladeshi refugees even as far as Port Blair.
India already has two pakistans now, only the names are different. Moreover, after the 'surgery' by Dr. India, Pakistan has become more codmpact and more powerful. I think it was one foolish blunder by an otherwise intelligent Mrs. Gandhi to involve India in the war.
Yes. Mrs. Indira Gandhi did the rightest and prideful job in 1971. But shame on followers of her and shame on Indian politics, that they kept themselves busy with chair race and forgot all about the sacrifices of our brave soldiers and did not evolved a suitable policy for Bangla Desh. Had they done this, we might be having a good friend in our neighbourhood inspite of an anti indian crowd. They even forgot the security of nation which resulted in anti indian activities in our north east. It reminds us the mistakes made by the then leaders of India in 1947, the result of which is, ever bleeding Kashmir. The so called 'bhagya vidhata' of India lacked complete foresightedness or was it only a charm of becoming first leaders of independent India?
I dont understand on which foreign policy India is supporting Bangladesh fro last 30 years. Our heroes had dies for such a country which is supporting pak on every move forgetting Indias sacrifice. The country which had a border issue with India who had given it the very independency. Millions of migrants are coming from that country and creating a havoc on over burdened Indian Economy.
We must stop all this right away. Indian govt. instead of concerning over malnourishment of Bangladeshis should concern over citizens of its own country who are dying of malnourishments.
India should not have helped Bangladesh. They have taken all sorts of help from us and now betraying in the fight of terror against Pakistan. Just because Pakistan is a Muslim country and India is a Hindu majority country !!! This is shear stupidity. Again they will get a kick on their back and come into right path .....
It is very crucial matter for india that it should help b.desh or not.India had the great role for the bangladesh independence, from that period india continiously providing different types of support in the case political matter, finacial support and many more which can't be count.India is the real friend of bangladesh but not yet bangldesh realize it.at the time of indira gandhiji govt she streatched her hand to give space for the refugee at that probelmatic situation but what the nation and their people doing against India?it's not a unhumanity work?some citizen of b.desh are keeping relation with pakistanis ISI agency for that india is bearing a lot cost. But if we see from the other angle that b.desh is our neighbour country so we must take decision from various side.what will be the india's benefit to provide support to b.desh.so it is very pivotal thing that india must consider upon the peace resolution in asia. For that political as well as diplomatic level talk can give a good result about this controversial matter.it should needed both side involvement to carry forward the above matter and comes to a final point.Thanks.......
Well we made a mistake by helping b'desh 35 years ago. But rather than lose sleep over it.. lets rectify the problem. I'm sure the bangladeshies will be a happier lot under the indian government. As for us, blasting terrorist camps would be a good retun gift for the world at large.
Yes, it was a good strategic ploy to ensure we do not have Pak on both sides.
Where we messed up (and have always done): a) Should have acted big brother to Bangladesh to ensure our good relations and ensure the nation grows under our influence. This does not mean allowing refugees coming over etc. A strict border policy, but ensure the nation feels at home with relation to India.
b) As always, we should have taken that opportunity to resolve Kashmir on our terms and get back our land. We have wasted innumerable chances of resolving this issue and getting back our land from Pakistan's grip - 47, 65, 71, Kargil - you name it. Even now our posture does not show our hard nosed stance to restore our borders. How can the government breathe easy for about 60 years with our land in others' hands.
c) This is one nation where Hindus can call home. If the government is all out to appease Muslims and Christians, which country will give Hindus the sense that it is their land? Secular means, the government should treat everyone equally - if at all they have to give first choice of resources, give it to the down trodden - not by caste. Hindus should unite for this without caste barrier.
