Vande Mataram! Rajinder Sachar failed to realise the real reasons for backwardness of Muslims. The fact that Muslims oppose "Vande Mataram" summarises their alien attitude. Let them start saying "Vande Mataram" and let them psychologically integrate themselves with India. Then, Muslims will progress automatically. No amount of reservations and funds will really help Muslims. They must change their mindset.
Khan says govt's not doing enough for Muslims - maybe so, but charity begins at home, as they say - Muslims themselves have stop their self-inflicted seperatism and join the mainstream. They can start by sending their kids to real schools instead of madrassas which teach only Quranic studies, many even fomenting outright anti-Indian and anti-Hindu sentiments. Also by voting for only communal regional parties rather than national ones, they've limited their clout on the national stage. It's time for some really serious introspection, and also time they stopped blindly and sheepishly following the dictats of self-aggrandizing Imams and other 'Muslim leaders' - it's time Muslims used their own brains for a change.
