Very sad news
by Yogesh Udgirkar on Sep 01, 2006 11:15 AM  Permalink

I felt very sad after hearing that. Actually that shouldn't be happened. I think every kind of problems have soem solutions but attacking or killing someone is not a way to get a good conclusion of the problem. This cruelty must be stopped forever. If human beings are being killed like this then a point raise into the mind that who is responsible for that? Please consider this seriously that killing is not a solution for any problem.

Shame on ABVP and BJP
by S.K.Azharuddin on Aug 30, 2006 10:45 PM  Permalink

Its very shameful that on professor was beaten to death by some so-called ABVP goons. and the police was just a spectator, watching the goons killing the prof. In India once there used to be respect to the teachers, but because of this ABVP, every thing is going in wrong direction. and why not BJP is supporting them, the present ruler in MP, so the so-called ABVP goons are free to atatck any prof. Shame on BJP and ABVP..............they even don't respect theor gurus.........i wonder whether these goons respect their parents or not....Shame..shame..shame..

by Rekha on Aug 30, 2006 06:13 PM  Permalink

It is shere shame on the part of Govt. to remain silent on such a ghastly murder by an irate mob.Even Police are silent and have not arrested any one so far. They muct act in courage and bring the culprits to book and see taht they are punished.Justice cannot be denied to the family of the innocent victim. God won't allow them to go scot free, even if the authorities are.

prof's murder - ban and disband ABVP.
by swaminathan on Aug 30, 2006 05:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

30th aug

The cruel death of the professor, after open threats in presence of police, should make the administration to own up responsibility and take action; presently only blame game is on with minister of MP speaking in an unfair manner accusing the professor's son of bias.
when police is all around including mounted police, it is administration's responsibility to ensure the situation does not esclate to be a violent one; that was what precisely happened.
if police is going to be useless, and cannot be even an eyewitness - luckily TV channels have tapes of police faces- then what for they were there?? in dress and horses??
we can see someone openly giving the professor threat with a deadline and did not have patience to what the professor had to say.
it did not seem to be a student. who was the finger wagging person?? he looked to be an outsider-belonging to some party or a local dada??
he must be arrested and sentenced without trial along with inpotent police present there and their officers who ordered them to go the the premises.
time to ban such violent organisations and jail the leaders.
our sympathies to the berieved families.

RE:prof's murder - ban and disband ABVP.
by V srikrishna on Sep 21, 2006 04:43 AM  Permalink
very well said,
what can those police do otherthan sit mum and dumb
these are controled by politicians who rise to that state and are gudas themselves voted and promoted by these gudas
all rigging ,campaining are done by these students
at the time of election
so things happen this way
it is a very high expectation to think our police are very responsible
They are the first corrupt section of judiciary.
India will neversee a reliable police, responsible politician,or for that matter any Govt servent

first we all should pray for his son now
who is working hard for justice.

Educate them.
by Radhakrishnan on Aug 30, 2006 05:19 PM  Permalink

Today, the palce of education has become a stepping stool for political career. I personally feel, a place of education should be away from the big bad world of politics (as in India). Organisations like the ones that are allegedly involved in this mindless killing should be banned.

Goonda elements in Educational Institutions
by Khanna on Aug 30, 2006 04:49 PM  Permalink

For most students, educational institutions, universities & colleges in the BIMARU States, no longer are seats of higher education. They are the stepping stones for political career. Take the case of Lucknow University where even Police Officers dare not enter for their own safety. Students with their gunner??? (yes Gunners) roam inside the pricincts indulging in all sort of activities excepting for the one for which they are supposed be there. Officials are just mute spectators against the brute political & muscle power that some of the them command.

This is perhaps one of the reasons Uttar Pradesh will remain Ulta Pradesh and not Uttam Pradesh as professed by the present regime.
