Such laws make India's shining image dull in the globalised world. Politicians should not have any right for matters like education & separate education trust should be setup to govern the policy matters.
It would be interesting to study how the quote student perform in the IIM examinations. May be IIM can have the rule like more than 2 attempts not allowed in the course examinations!!
You are echoing the words of almost every educated youth in India especially from the general category..today being born as a brahmin/upper caste in Urban India is a bane because of the innumerous struggle one has to go through just for education.. it would be hurtful to see our children not getting seats in esteemed colleges because he/she is not belonging to SC/ST or OBC..
Our frustrations are easy to echo Rajat but how do we go about achieving the Goal of India being a reservation free country... there should be a kind of revolution.. and am waiting for it to happen as like any other ordinary person i do not know how we go about achieving this..
Not only do the educated class do not vote but they are least interested in the country's affairs.. a whole movement which would go across the country is the only way we can try to curb it...
Parties like Lok Paritran should come up as the Young India.. and we should fight for our rights.
I think for the younger generation of politicians to do anything even remotely productive (economically that is) for the country, will take at least 40 to 50 years from now. That is because we will have to wait that long for the current crop of politicians to die of old age (R.D.B. approach is un-realistic).
I think we Indian Should realise that reservation doesnot help any section of society rather it is dividing our society . Reservation is Politically motivated System it is spreading dissatisfaction among us.We are ignoring the aftermaths it will hamper Indian Progress in longrun ....
Reservation!!!Reservation!!!Reservation..... This is not the fault of our polician , or but ours. It's from a very long time present in our blood, that we(almost every body) always try to get, what ever we want, very easily. [I dont want to see one or two rare e.g.]. During the struggle of independence our leaders have wisely motivated us towards the ultimate zeal of freedom and liberty. Suddenly, after few years of independence all our ambitions for the mother country has died out, mainly because of our unfit, so called NETAS. One more thing, I wanted to ask you, instead of carsing others for doing some thing wrong, why not try to do some thing good your self? In stead of taking out protests against this government decision, select some good people(if by god's grace they are willing ot fight the election) who can really bring some changes to the country. Every body will be with them. Then I want to see who can put us back using the excuse of RESERVATION. Otherwise we will be where we are, upper caste beggeres and mesons, always fighting to meet both the ends. I know there are very few people who really has the passion to do some thing for India. i have never ever given any comments on article. these is the first time i am writing on the issue of reservation. In our country our parents are taught that we are equal but which is not true. Still there is descrimination between the caste.more then 200 years our forfather has exploirted these caste.now there are getting some benefit then what is problem in which. every body saying that we will not quality of doctor, engineer and managment graduates.but if you see in the news then most of the upper class people are invovled in the scandle like harshard mehta,ketan paraik etc.how many BJP entertaining monority class people in their party,
Hindu people itslef not supported to hindu then how they will fight againts any other communities.
