not for the upliftment of society who have been suppressed for centuries but for the vote politics.
Had such parties been interested in upliftment of this group , first thing they could have exclusion of the of the people who have already come up(So called creamy layer). since reservation issue is raised for vote on cast lines creamy layer ommissin is never easy for thease political parties.
Also there should be time limit othervise this issue may create a never ending bitterness in the society.
Yes I support the upliftment of the suppressed society but through this reservation policy only political purpose of the parties can be served and not very little upliftment.
according to me reservation should be discotinued and economically weeker section , deserved candidate shoud be made to study his choice and physically handicapped peole shouldbe compesated for thier inability and should lead a good life compared to any citizen even at the cot of double reservations regads hiremathkm
I too agree that reservation in India should be abolished as early as possible.It is going to be a curse to the country; hindering, retarding the growth.As Raja Ram Mohan Roy abolished "SATI",now its time for "QUOTA".Even we know all facts about the reservation policy, by whom it is still implementing?, why it is implementing?, who is benefited?,then also we like herd,floak for every election go to the booth and stamps on the mark of the known party without knowing the person representing to our particular area.This is the fault from our side.Then y should we point them only?? we are also equally responsible.Aren't we are seeing the behaviour of respected;elected by us; MP's, MLA's in the LOK sabha and Rajya sabah.The whole question hour gets wasted by unnecessary arguments,hooting, shouting,and Walkouts, wasting citizens money!

I sincerely agree to that and I want to make everyone aware of this fact.I would like Rediff to start a campaign where in people could read this article and address their opinions and finally it should be forwarded to Mr.President.So that he could have the backing of people in altering the present Constitution and bring the uniformity among all the Educational institution which are currently run by some greedy politicians and businessman.

Forget banning reservations..it's a pipe dream. Instead, we should have at least 10% reservation for the upper castes - after all, 'diversity' means everyone should be represented. So, requesting the BJP to please bring on the 10% upper caste quota!!
I fully agree to Mr. Narang for his views on resrvation. I also feel that reservation should be given on poverty basis and not on cast basis. The politicians will never let our country free from the selfish motto. It is hight time to get united aganist the dirty politics and their dirty games to increase their vote bank.
None of the Political party has the courage to take stand aganist the reservation policy. Mhatma Gandhi said the he never wanted to establish a cast base society, but the Congress party which it self is following the idea of the legend, and they say that they work according to the ideology of Gandhi, rediculous.
I hav seen none of the reservation quota holder though being intellectual will never comment aganist the reservation policy, so it will be a foolish thought that the quota holder will ever support our agitation of anti reservation.

The reasons for such a deplorable condition in India are our politicians & their cunning &and crooked policies which are basically done with an eye on vote bank only.I want to ask only one question to the wretched community of Politicians in India:They love OBC/SC/ST so much and want people belonging SC/ST/OBC to move up in life and achieve something and contribute to the development of the country.Charity begins at home.So will our esteemed politicians allow the Plane to be operated by SC/ST/OBC Pilots only whenever they fly? Will our politicians agree to be operated by only SC/ST/OBC Doctors whenever they or some of their relatives get admitted in Hospitals anywhere in India?Will our great politicians ever agree to get their sons/daughters married to SC/ST/OBC people?Will they allow their sons/daughter to be taught by only SC/ST/OBC people? Will they allow SC/ST/OBC people to handle all their Bank accounts and private work? I have seen people all over India.Even SC/ST/OBC politicians once they reach a certain status in life, try to avoid their own men.Since "Politics is the last refuge of Scoundrels".So these scoundrels are doing what they can do best and destroy the country.
This is very good article. Let politicians make reservation in the Assembly and parliment first then they can come to other areas. 33% women quota bill is awaiting for approval for last 5 years, but they can make IIM, IIT reservations bill in a month.
How fair is this. To say frankly now india has dirty politicians and we never imagined such a worst ruiling from our leaders.
