Please Pass this Mail to Mr.Himanshu Sabrawal
by Pooja RK on Sep 04, 2006 12:37 AM  Permalink

Sir,

Ive been observing the disgraceful Ujjain incident quite closely. I would first to offer my sympathy to Mr. Himanshu Sabrawal, and would give him a personal assurance that this will not be a lonely battle for him and we will not let this incident die, I extend full support in terms of gathering professors and their families who have gone through similar incidents in past, Together we can start a movement against the dirty politics that is entering the nerves of the youth of our country.

My father went through a similar incident of student politics five years back... He was then the principal of one of the engineering colleges at Mumbai. The day I heard the news of Prof. Sabrawal, I strongly felt the entire teaching community should stand up, and not only the community, but also the families of those who are serving the nations itinerant baffled youth.

I am unable to write the full mail due to character constraints here, but please do pass this mail to Mr.Himanshu, as I have struggled my way out to stand and speak for justice.
I wait in anticipation,]

Ujjain Professor's Death
by Ashish Natani on Sep 02, 2006 07:22 PM  Permalink

Dr Sabarwal was like father to me. I am shell shocked at the incident.
He was one of those who will never accept anything wrong and will fulfill his duty with utmost commitment.
I am concerned at the degradation of our Educational Institutions. Ma Saraswati's Temple have got converted into centers that produce killers. We call these studenets future of India.

Will there be justice
by sunny on Sep 01, 2006 07:03 PM  Permalink

In the land of Dhronacharya, where "Guru" was accorded a place higher then GOD. The culprits of Prof.Sabharwal's shocking murder (as autopsy reports proved his ribs were broken and his lungs bled by injury caused by them) should be strictly brought to justice without any concession or relaxation on part of law, so that such incidents don't become rampant. Clearly this is not a student matter anymore this is now a case of student vandalism and murder prevalent in the country. Punishment has to be strict without worrying any bit about career of such goonda elements whose sole purpose to rarely go to college is not to study but to do dirty politics and destroy career of many others, so that no teacher in this land be afraid of his students any longer.

Correction needed in education system
by Easwar on Sep 01, 2006 10:21 AM  Permalink

Personally I felt very much shocked on hearing the incidents. I have great respect for my Teachers and Professors who has guided me to the man I am today. The college students of today should learn from Books and their professors not from politics and cinema.

Present day student, a symbol of arrogance.
by Sebastian Thomas on Aug 30, 2006 06:07 PM  Permalink

Students are becoming more and more irresponsible, rude and intolerant these days. They dont have respect towards anyone. I see their devastating attitude on a daily basis while traveling on bus. What guidance their parents are giving them at home? What these educational institutions are teaching them? Dont they know the paramount importance of the students being taught the basic values and principles of life? What the hell these political parties are doing in schools and campuses? Don't they have common sense? I emphatically say that not even college students are mature enough to play politics. They should be taught but should not be allowed to play politics.

Hooliganism in name of elections
by pramila on Aug 30, 2006 02:56 PM  Permalink

The hooliganism is prevalent in the name of students elections has backing of political parties. It is time the elections were banned in the coming years and also the voting age be increased by a couple of years. The students are mislead by people who have nothing to do with education. We must hang our heads in shame after a professor is man handled by the students, Is this our country which celeberates teachers Day?

Ujjain proffessor's death: 3 held.
by labrea on Aug 28, 2006 10:56 PM  Permalink

Thuggery, Goondaism, Hooliganism and Violence are the only ways Indians know to deal with any situation. Their penchant for violence is so well kwown, it's now become synonymous with the term "Indian". Threesuspects have been held, but a year from now, no one will hear about this case and eventaully disappear from the news and national consciousness.
