Will this not amount to interfering in the internal matters of Pakistan, which India always accuses about Pakistan in J&K. Are there not enough Pakistani supporters in India? Does that mean Pakistan should also start standing by those "terrorists", which seems acceptable with this logic.
If Pakistan continues its repressive policies in Balochistan, the Baloch people will know what is best for them. There is no need for any support from India, at least until the situation primes and the request comes from Baloch people and the world opinion builds up in their favour.
Bangladesh became a reality because it was entirely the indigenous movement which got people's support because of the brutal suppression of Bengali Muslims by the Punjabi Muslims from West Pakistan. India supported Mujibur only when it became clear there are no easy options for the Bengali Muslims within Pakistan framework. India did NOT proactively go about helping create Bangladesh.
So, I believe India should wait and watch. If better sense prevails in Pakistan, Baloch region will be developed and its people treated equally.
Raman should clarify the serious charge he made - "Two months ago, the Pakistan Army reached a ceasefire agreement with the remnants of the Al Qaeda and the Taliban in North Waziristan."
Why is the USA silent on this score? Does this mean USA no more is interested in the safety of Afghanistan and capture of Al-Qaeda top brass? What proof do we have for this charge?
My strong feeling is, it would be nice if they(Baloch fighters) followed peace movement. But any thing against goverment/people with crime is not acceptable. Pakisthan goverment going in right way. And mostly this is internal issue of pakisthan so beter not to involve in this. if we involved in this there won't be much differnce between pakisthan and India.
It is the other way round, Mr. Shadab! When Kashmiri terrorists are called "freedom fighters" by Pakistan, why can't we call Baluchis as freedom fighters? Do you think the Baluchis committed terrorism like the Kashmiris or the Pakistan-trained Muslims? You need to correct your attitude, not Mr. Raman! Are you an Indian or a Pakistani?
This article and the Indian government\\\'s reaction to Nawab\\\'s death at best can be described as hypocritical. Nawab Bugti had created a state within a state and anybody not agreeing with his directive would simply disappear. He was a master at blackmail and would not let Govt of Pakistan carry out any development work like building schools etc. he wanted his followers to remain stupid and under his control. I guess I now understand why Pakistan should stand by the freedom fighters in Kashmir.
That would be very stupid of India to interfere in Pakistan's internal affairs. When we tell the whole world that pakistan is supporting millitants in Assam or Kashmir or where ever on one hand and do the same in pakistan, thats double standards.
We can live in peace only if our neighbours live in peace. And moreover its time we realise that India is not a super power, atleast not till the next 50 years. So behave like a normal country and mind our own business.
"India, Sri Lanka need to destroy LTTE's air, navy". The second quoted column was also from Mr. Raman. When you are in charge of/working for IB/RAW, you have to be an India centric sadist, I agree. A (column)writer shouldn't be like that while a hypocritic writer can.
I feel little sad about the killings in Balochs country only because they are enemies of my enemy. But, Balochs may stand against us in future as like Bangladesis just in the name of religion or old brotherhood. However the feelings for Srilankan tamil cause or LTTE are not like that.
It would be really foolish for India to meddle with the baluchistan movement. Just as we think kashmir is an India's internal issue, similarly baluchistan is pak's internal issue and let them deal with it. The old proverb enemy's enemy is a friend should not be applied here becoz what goes around comes around .... if we meddle with baluchistan our credibility and foreign policy at Kashmir is lost.

Yes.India should support Baluch. 1 Because Kashmir is already burning and it will be a sweet revenge as both hindus and muslims are killed by pakis there. 2 India never bombed 80 year old leader using precision guided tools. Sh_t we dont even do that against pakis. 3 Kashmir is Legally ours, Baluch is not legally Pak's. 4. Pak is anyways a failed state with no land reform or social or education reform 5. and Most Important Historically baloch and pushtu people were close to india so we should freely assert our goodwill and let these paki punjabi goons fail. A failed Pakistan will also help us with Afghan and Iran and Central Asia countries and will bring peace in the region. Only cowards or fools would miss this golden chance. If nothing else, it will deviate Pak into not disturbing us for some time while we address our other problems.
The way pakistan claims that they are helping Freedom Fighters of Kashmir so the same way India should help the oppression of pak against Balochs. For that we shud have a Baloch Freedom Strugle Fund......Oh I am sorry our politicians are busy in filling their pockets and dividing the nation on the basis of reservation/secularism/communism....and all types of isms.... India cannot do anything so jsut shut yr mouth and keep quite.
