Why only for DUSU elections? Even general election can be faught on this issue. While it is necessary to support reservation for SC/STs and economically backward classes, there should be no reservation on the basis of cast and religion. Is it not the fact that no one talked against reservation when the reservation was only for SC/STs. I am sure SC/STs will understand how this reservation for OBCs is going to harm them, and will support this anti reservation movement.

Hai everybody, I am agree with this one. As a OBC i don't want reservation in education system. But in our country, There is no way to stop it (Because of our bloody stupid politicians)
It is obvious that this is just a Political Gimmick for the vote bank. But, the role models of our country and inteligentia too understand the futility of this sort of euphoria in the name of social empowerment. They should come forward with their worthy views on this matter to compele the Government to have a rethinking over this matter. The best example so far is the stand of Amir Khan on Narmada issue and Firoz Khan's stand on India in Pakisthan.
Apart from this the views of Cricket stars and other Big Shots matters a lot in the nation building as they do for endorsing different Companies by their advertisements. They should come forward in these vital issues concerning the national progress.
From the social sector Anna Hazare is always involving himself with his valuable opinions and exerting a lobby on the Government for reassesment.
Besides, there should be a sort of allround public involvement for countering the hegemony of the politicians in dividing the nation.
Our politicians are bent upon caste basis for reservations just to gain votes.If social justice was the main issue which would be beneficial for the people in real need it would have eliminated the creamy layer giving benefit to the real people who needed it. This would benefit them in uplifting the poor an socially disadvantaged people.
They do not want it.They just want to ruin the country and devide the society into caste based vote banks.

Actually, due to these reservations & all disparity between rich & poor is increasing. It will further deepen. I wonder whether these really economically backward people do even know about the reservations & subsidies that they R getting. You see every where in the society every Tom, Dick & Harry, whose godfathers are involved in politics R taking benefit of this reservation. They hv their havelis and acres of fields at their native place & seek admission here in govt. colleges, which they consider is their father's property. They donot hv any inclination to study & just spoil the atmosphere of college under the saying that college is a place to enjoy life. This wil stop only when some good, sincere students/ professionals fight in the election and educated mass do 100% voting. Now people are realising what are the effects of 30% BC's & minorities voting. VOTE FOR CHANGE.
Not first time, few years before the same thing happened in Mandal Commission. Many students sacrificed their lives, but what is the result? Nothing! Our Indian MPs and MLAs are not at all concerned about the development of OBC. They know that there exists a large volume of vote bank from OBCs, so this policy is a safe way of for getting more votes. None of the single political leader has strongly opposed this policy. My question is ' If government is really concern about them, then why not they are allowing reservations in Parliaments, they should provide them the opportunity to be an MP. What happened to 33% reservations for female candidate in Parliament? Not yet implemented. Doing so will affect their seats in Parliament. So they will never do that. Like Doctors and all, MPs are also a government servant. So the reservation should be implemented for Parliament position also. When MPs find that their position insecure they start correcting the constitution. Like ' Dohri Labh ke pad(Dual benefit seats). After Sonia Gandhi drama Government took an immediately action and a bill is passed for correction in constitution. Government is only making fun of us by these policies
