These idiots,who are so indifferent to the security sensivities in Europe and America,should have been skinned alive by the Dutch.I guess these guys expected to be put up in five star hotels in Amsterdam and served Scotch whisky while they were being questioned by the Dutch authorities.
I think that the fuss being made about the racial profiling that occurred for the northwest flight passengers is completely hypocritical.
This type of profiling on a religious basis occurs regularly in India especially during Dec 5 or 6 of every year.
I have seen bags of Muslims being selectively checked in chennai bus stands and bus stops and railway stations. Though even a kid would realise that a potential terrorist would ensure that he did not look like a person who would raise suspicion.
one sec the media is saying that these ppl playd a prank and creatd confusion and out of fear the crew did what it did. if tht is tru then who are they to complain? they would be pressed with criminial charges out here for sumthn like that. The atmosphere is very painful bcoz ppl are looking at us like we are jerks and idiots for doing sumthn like that. I dont think i can disagree coz if it is tru then it is defntly shameful.
I think the authorities in amsterdam did what they have to do for verification on terrorist threat.
Initially had all the 12 passengers followed the Crew instructions in the aircarft ,the flight would never went back to airport after take off .Once it was landed then this process of interrogation has to go .
I read this article and last 2 days article by same author,but it always seems to put biased towards some religion and the truth he is not pointing out.this you think good journalism.nowadays i feel this rediff going crap.
yday same author write towards 12 people family,with in 5 min the whole story of returned other passengers
told the truth ( including former police supreme) about this 12 people behaviour.now again you are getting statement or your own statement and telling this is happened because miscommunication ( still 12 people travel lot in the flight & they dont know how to behave)and some people telling not properly behaved by authority other telling everything fine.
My friend ( last 10 years my close friend & my room mate)he is muslim and he told me not to reply back because he felt this is one of the cheap journalism.but still i want to point out.another this why you shd not open messageboard so others kick worst journalism.i feel money you can make anywaybut this is information center like you shd tell the truth.

What is the meaning of good journalism? Is it conent or language or reliability? Go and find out who supported (local) Delhi Blast, Godhra TrainCarnage, Mumbai Blast etc. who provided support service, shelter, logistics etc. Kindly love our country first than to your friend, who may even kill to you one day.
As far as i can understand from the media, these guys did not follow the instructions of the cabin crew. There are some fussy guys like this and i believe they deserve this treatment. They complained of 4X4 cell. If they were in India it would have been worse with mosquitoes biting all over.
These guys are more lucky than a someone in Indian jail. whatz the protest from Indian government about?
I am not happy that the 12 people who had caused the fiasco of NW flight 0042 should have been let off within 72 hours of detention. They should have been held for atleast 1 year to teach them how to behave socially in a manner that does not cause disruption in others lives or living.

I am a frequent flier between the UK to India. I have seen Whites behave really bad on flights. They are not arrested or detained!!

Its really a shame for our country people that such racism is being happened with us. Moreover govt. is quite,if this would have happened with India then did our govt. have reacted in this way. As a regular passenger do we think that they were not knowing how to behave and if this could have been then why didnt they got earlier in this. And moreover who said u that white people behave properly in flights. Being Asian or Muslim didnt give right to these European countries to treat a person like this. We really cant imagine what these 12 people have gone through along with their family member. We should boycott NWM n others who just want to divide people according to their caste and country. Will u tell me Amaresh until when we Indian Muslim have to explain that we are truly Indian? U wanna talk about mumbai blast then let me tell u this that if there were people who tried to create a horror in mumbai then there were those Muslim who applied the medicine too. We Indian Muslim always have been with this country whenever such incident had happened. Remember where there is a dark then there will be a light too its all depend on you how u think?

I am sure your answer would have been different if the 12 people were Hindus. Your attitudes are worse than Racism.
I think all the asians should stop flying NWA, We give them so much business and the way they have treated the Indians is pretty bad. Not only that I read somewhere in the news that they have told "Indians are the most Unruly Passengers"... Shame on us if we give them more business.

Dear Imran, why one should stop flying with NWA, rather the people should boycott the community who support the terrorism in the name of Jihad / Islam. Do you feel that the Mumbai blast was possible without local support? It is India only where such stupidity is allowed. Being a good citizen come forward, persuade and spread the message to the community that they should expose the people who provide support to terrorism in the name of community and religion, and propagate secularism and condemn fundamentalism and that too also openly, and also teach the people, educate the people so that they should not fall under the trap of so called leaders, be religious or political. When it is called unruly Indians, it is not for all rather for particular group, who brings bad name for our great India. Do not protect your community rather protect the teachings of Islam in true sense, be loyal to your religion and our motherland, differentiate between good and bad.
