Creamy Layer
by Kunuthur Srinivasa Reddy on Aug 26, 2006 10:39 AM  Permalink

Creamy layer alone is the one which directs the governance of the country and its destiny. How do you expect the political system to go against the will of creamy layer? It does not have guts to do so. Start a national debate on whether or not we deserve freedom to govern ourselves. Let us recall what Winston Churchill stated about us.

reservations on caste basis
by Vsrikrishna on Aug 25, 2006 08:02 PM  Permalink

This shows how selfish our society is
we are worse than any animals

See how our caste politics are...
If some people from the creamy layer are eliminated the other people in the caste will get more opportunity to take up opportunity and rise.
the people who are enjoying these benifits from creamy layers want to grab these nasty reservations on caste basis and let the poor and other sections who are in need remain like that
this is our india.A dirty country with selfish poltiticians, police who are rapists, politicians who are like burglers and gangsters we can not make progress.

Not necessary!
by Harihara Venkatasubramaniam on Aug 25, 2006 05:15 PM  Permalink

Creamy layer is not necessary in the bill, which should enable all OBCs to get the reservations. The purpose of this bill is to bring social justice - that of reversing the trend of uppercastes, in the name of merit, entering IITs and IIMs, which are funded by the whole of population who comprise 60% of OBCs.

If the uppercastes think they are denied their fair share, let them establish and fund their own institutions to serve themselves.

It is a bill to bring about social justice; nothing else. All talk of creamy layers and merit is irrelevant.

OBC quota
by Pralay Sarkar on Aug 25, 2006 04:32 PM  Permalink

I have only one word to say...DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are spoiling country's future!!! You cannot ensure upliftment of socially or educationally backward classes by reservation! If you could, you would not have required more reservation almost 60 yrs after independence and after almost 50 yrs of reservation!!! If this policy was effective, you will need less reservation now!!
It will undoubtedly increase brain drain from India. As a doctor, I see that it would be easier to pursue postgraduate education in US than in India...and once a person do that he or she will never feel like going back to India where you are treated so unfairly by your own leaders! I am not against reservation..but I am against reservation based on cast system and in higher studies. Let reservation be there for economically backward sections..let there be good opportunity for education for everyone at primary and secondary education level and economic support for the meritorious students coming from all casts and creeds! And creamy layer!!! Does Lalu Yadav's and Mulayam Singh's clan also need reservation...becuase they are 'backward'???? We are just creating a more divisive society and socialtension!
