DON'T CREATE PANIC
by Akhilesh Shukla on Aug 29, 2006 12:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Friends !
Let me first tell you, I have been brought up singing and feeling the essance of "vandemataram". I feel proud and excited while reciting this immortal piece of literature.

My request to all is please don't make it compulsory by virtue of law. one can not get respect by force. Make it a habit and customary like "Rashtra gan"in Maharashtra Theatres.

People who like will sing and if someone doesn't like let him not. As someone rightly said, we have to chose our muslim friend either APJ kalam or Dawood. lets choose APJ. Please don't turn APJ's to Dawood's.

My personal experience says most/almost all muslims are india centric and we should not doubt it. It hurts them. Lets spread love and harmony.

lets not doubt whether muslims or other communities love their mother land or not, I feel they do as I do. And if someone in majority feel they don't respect their mother land, let them not. They have equal right to live at this land as our brothers n sisters unless they do not commit any anti-national act and this is true for everyone in this country.

Lets not be cynical in our approach.

WE ARE ALL INDIANS and WE STRIVE TO MAKE IT BETTER.

JAIHIND, JAI BHARAT

Mother is more than any one, let it be lord, God or any such thing. She gives one, let it be Hindu, Muslim,Christian or Sikh birth, life, protection, love, affection, warmth and whatever one needs. If your country is referred and worshipped as Mother, there is nothing wrong in it. Still, if some one does not want to praise or worship their mother, it is his wish. Leave them to their ideologies and beleif. But take a decision now, keep them away from our social stream.

Voice Against Vande Matram
by Irshad on Aug 29, 2006 12:10 PM  Permalink

Below is the Entire Text of English Translation from Vande Matram and the point I would like to tell you that as you see the translation it sometime compares land as our God, which is consider as shirk in our religion i.e. associating partner with God, so dear friends please do not miss understand me, I love my country more than anybody else but it doesnt mean that I have to live my religion basics. Hope everyone understands.

Mother, I bow to thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Dark fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.
Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
Clad in thy blossoming trees,
Mother, giver of ease
Laughing low and sweet!
Mother I kiss thy feet,
Speaker sweet and low!
Mother, to thee I bow.

Who hath said thou art weak in thy lands
When the sword flesh out in the seventy million hands
And seventy million voices roar
Thy dreadful name from shore to shore?
With many strengths who art mighty and stored,
To thee I call Mother and Lord!
Though who savest, arise and save!

vande mataram is must for all indians
by Arun. N on Aug 29, 2006 12:10 PM  Permalink

Opposition to national song is something that can only happen in India. Nowhere else will you see this perversion. These politicians who are falling over each other to impress those muslims who dont want to sing vande mataram are infact trying to impress traitors. Those who dont want to recite vande mataram are free to do so, but they can get the hell out of this country. If the patriotic indians dont teach these traitors and the cheap politicians a lesson, these anti-national elements would grow in confidence.

Vande matram means to me like' Hare Ram '. This was the slogan which united the whole country in our freedom struggle. It is a national song for all the indians irrespective of their religion cast and class. any opposition to this, is anti-national.Politions come up with something or the other not to strengthen the unity or integrity of our nation but to divide and rule. We are all first human beings, then Indians an then whatever religion we follow. No religion can be above our beloved nation. Vande Mataram...

Vande Matram , yes , & why not...
by Dharmendra Goel on Aug 29, 2006 11:54 AM  Permalink

Panchkula . Tuesday, the 29th August ,2006.
This is petty-minded clergy like Shahi Imam self-anointed spokesman of Muslims who have problems with Idol-worship.It was never any problem fro hundreds of Musicians such as Late Bismillah Khan
sahib, or fakir Ustad Allaudin Khan sahib who sung fro Saraswati and Sharda,Like wise it was no problem to APJ Abdul Kalam Martyred Ashfaqullah khan (Kakori 1926 along with Ramprasd Bismil). Was it any problem to the Paramvir Chakra winner Company Havildar Abdul Hamid of Khemkaran (1965 War)or earlier the Mahavir Chakra awardee Brigadier Usmani in Kasmir to sing Vande-Matram when they laid their great souls at the feet of their Madre-Vatan Bharat Mata in heroic acts of defending the Indian Soil.So smugglers and ghaddars -secularism or vote-banks notwithstandings hould never be given the clout to decide questions of bonding of all India's citizens!D. Well I just think of people, who has no country to own them and they just move country to country to seek shealter or stay at refugee camp.well the point to mention this thing here is to remind people wheather it be jana gana mana or vande mataram people should always be proud to sing it , we all have a mother land who offer us our Identity irrespictive of cast, religion,or language.Over all it discribes us ,our beauty and greatness and unity .

Vande Mataram!!! Today, tomorrow and forever!!!!
I have the greatest admiration for A R Rehman's rendition of the anthem. The first time I heard it, my eyes were filled with tears of joy and pride. And I continue to feel the same everytime I hear it. Isn't A R Rehman a Muslim? I know I am a Christian for sure. Long live my motherland. My country comes first, always!!!
