Vande maathram..for me who has been NRI for last two years..means more than "Salutation to motherland".This two words..i can say has Life of every Indian in it !!!
Vandç Mâtaram is the national song of India. The song was composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in a highly Sanskritized form of the Bengali language. The song first appeared in his book Anandamatha, published in 1882 amid fears of a ban by British Raj, though the song itself was actually written six years prior in 1876. "Vande Mataram" was the national cry for freedom from British oppression during the freedom movement.
Though a major aspirant for being the national anthem of India, Vande Mataram was eventually overtaken by Jana Gana Mana, which was ultimately chosen. The choice was slightly controversial, since the Vande Mataram was the one song
The song was rejected on the grounds that Muslims felt offended by its depiction of the nation as "Ma Durga"a Hindu goddessthus equating the nation with the Hindu conception of shakti, divine feminine dynamic force; and by its origin as part of Anandamatha, a novel they felt had an anti-Muslim message. However, in recent times, there has been much more of an acceptance of the historically passionate patriotic cry and, for example, famous Muslim popular songwriter A. R. Rahman has openly come out in support of it.
Vande Mataram these two words are not only words but tells a history of Revolution itself.That time this song gaves new enthusiasm to the Freedom Fighters while hearing now gives a feeling of Proud to us.
Controversies over it is unrelevant, Mr Arjun Singh is only trying to remain in Controversies.
He is a self centred man who is only looking his own benefits or his Parties benefits. COuntry has no means to him.
On this prosporous date we must stand & Sing this song for the Proud of Nation. This must comes from heart's of all who feels to be Indian by heart.No one like Mr Arjun Singh tell us what we will do or not.
Reading this article, I want to single out only the political leaders who are responsible for all these. So, a particular community should not be blamed at all. It is the duty of every Indian to sing for his /her own motherland and it is mandatory. I can not change my National Anthem and sing an Anthem of Pakistan!!! But, why don't you people blame the bloody political leaders instead of singling out a particular community. Whose responsibility is this?? these political leaders actually insist the muslims not to sing the National anthem. If there is a good Government, the people will act in good manner. But, if, the Government is bad, it is not expected that, people will act in good way....So, just throw these vitiated and corrupt political leaders out of the chairs and burn them alive. they deserve such punishment for insisting into treason.
VANDE MATRAM is nothing but saluting the mother land and praising her as Lakshmi Durga & Saraswathi, who bless us with Money, Knowledge and Power.
It inspires the patriotism and instrumental in our freedom struggle and even after words.
The present controversy is nothing but a vote politics played by Congress to divide the citizens of India on the religious ground and grab the Muslim votes. It shows the Central Ruling party is ready to stoop to any level for the Muslim votes even at the cost of Nation. The main reason for the idiot Arjun Singh & Congress may be the nearing elections in UP where Muslims votes play a prominent role in election results.
All the citizens of India should oppose this and participate in Reciting the Vande Mataram.
