Please do not play politics with issues of high national respect. I have request: At least leave something and please stand UNITED for some issues and try to prove people of India that you are all united on some issues. There should not be anything like Hindu Muslim, firstly we are Indian.
In case Muslim have something to say about Vande Mataram, then please listen and try to have a debate among them. But i have request to my muslim brothers too, please read these lines carefully.
Vande Mataram is not merely a song it is our respect to our country, respect to our freedom fighters who gave there lifes so that we can breathe in free atmosphere, a soulful song sung by them (sorry i do not have enough words for it). They were not Hindus only, they were Muslims too. But if you still think that there is some problem then please give suggestions.

some of us voted for HRD minster and now rest will pay! day by day whatever is happenning in India is makeing me more Hindu than ever before!
Vande Mataram was a patriotic song in sanskrit witeen by bankim Chandra who was revolutionary during the freedom struggle .Vande Mataram means bowing one's head to one's mother ie falling at the feet of your mother .I do not understand what problem does Musilims like Bukhari have in singing in the song the song ha sno hindu words in it nor does it anyway have any communal meaning .I think that people who oppose the song are really anti nationals as far the congrss is concerned since it is not having any Nehru-Gandhi family name in it they have least reapect for the song written by patriots outside teh nehru gandhi family and talking about arjun singh we all know his contribution to the country so the less we talk about him the better I appeal to all countrymen that do degrade songs of national importance written by patriots who really have sacrificed for the motherland we all should stand and protect our freedom
The core issue - is country patriotrism more important than religion ? Alternatively the issue could be - Should patriotrism and releegious beliefs be necessarily ranked for priority ?
It is nothing but another song. You should behave like a civilized citizen of this country in all aspects of life. This is what is required not any song or Anthem.
Those who are not willing to recite Vande Mataram do not have any respect for India itself! How reciting "Vande Mataram..." can demean Allah? Is there any comparison between the God of a religion and the country? Is the religion above the nation? If anybody thinks that their love to the religion is always higher than their nation then let them find a land where their religion is above nationality and migrate there.
The references to the Hindu godess "Durga" have already been deleted in the Two stanza version. It now only says beautiful things about our motherland. "Vande mataram" is like saying "Assalam Valekum Amma" to the motherland. What is wrong in that? There must be atleast a few dozen National Anthems calling their nation as "Motherland or Fatherland". It is a greeting and welwishing of the nation with highest regards. If there was no mother, there could not be any child. Likewise, if there was no motherland, there would not be any citizen.
I can be a Hindu, I can be a Muslim, I can be a Sikh, I can be a Christian residind in India but I am never an Indian. So I will not sing "Vande Mataram"! That is the truth.
