There should be a Law.
by MADHUKAR BHALERAO on Aug 29, 2006 10:31 AM  Permalink

Dear Government

There should be a law of strong penalty
if somebody do not respect National songs
like Vande Mantaram.

Otherwise These type of people will always
talk these non-sense

Madhukar

VANDE MATARAM -- ITS A MUST
by Naveen on Aug 29, 2006 10:19 AM  Permalink

Every Indian should put his country above everything else and this everything includes religion.

I just cannot understand how a person who cannot respect his mother can respect GOD because mother is the person who shows the Path towards GOD

No person has a identity without a ntionality. Therefore nation comes first and everythiing else is next.In fact everything in a nation-rivers,mountains, land, plants, animals, and even people belong to nation. Therefore every person should regard all these things as his own and try to conserve, protect, enhance and develop all these assets. No Nation - No people. Therefore WE ARE INDIANS FIRST. Those who do not feel proud of their nation, heritage and its culture, have no place in their country and should quit the country immediately rather remaining as traitors.

FOR ME VANDE MATARAM IS LIKE A SUPRABHAT PRAYER TO GOD.

Vande Matram

I feel this is the best platform to show nationality by all the Muslims of India. They should forget everything & recite this on all the important occasion in their community. I am sure it will involve them more in our patriotic feelings. They have allready proved several times that nation come first, religion comes second. Now again they have to show same.

Vande Matharam

It is pity that we have so many things to spent our energy on for the sake of our motherland, yet we are drawn into a dividing policy of the politicians. WHEN WILL INDIANS UNDERSTAND THIS? British ruled India for so many years by "Divide n Rule" policy, now it's the turn of politicians.
Wake up Indians, give ur energy to construction, rather than destruction of ur motherland.

Excellent said Fardeen. We should think of the interests of our motherland, instead of the dirty communal politics played by the politicians. My strong objection is that, if someone doesn't want to sing our National Anthem, he/she should be punished, but, taking the string of it, Islam should not be criticised or tarnished. If someone doesn't know Islam properly, it is the fault of that person concerned, not Islam. Islam is based on science and the inherent truth of Islam can not be destroyed by one. So, the person like Shahi Imam is not the representative of Islam, but its existence is owing to the existence of the world. Kill terrorists, but islam should not be linked with it anyway!!!

Grow up!
by puneet on Aug 29, 2006 09:55 AM  Permalink

Singing or not singing any song does not make one less or more patriotic. And please grow from your dogmatic nationalism. Contibution to society and culture and above all humanity is more important than any song. If you love 'Bharat Mata', then feel free to do so. Its not congress or bjp or any party but incompassionate fools that ruin things.
Anyways, nothing in life should be mandatory. i do not need to sing a song to prove to anybody how i feel about my country. neither should anybody else.
BTW how many of you even know the lyrics of Vande Matram!
