THE HISTORY OF MIDI LEAST AND ISRAEL CONFLICT
by AHMAD SHAHZAD on Aug 24, 2006 11:59 AM  Permalink

However, international situation prevents Israel from achieving this goal of building Eretz Israel immediately; this is a long term objective that is being undertaken with careful planning. To weaken the surrounding Arab countries is one essential milestone for achieving this objective. Thus, dismantling of Iraq, incursion into Syria and Lebanon, eventual annihilation of the Palestinians, preparing to attack Iran, Somalia and Syria, then eventually Saudi Arabia and Sudan, all aid that objective of building Eretz Israel, even though other factors are driving those events. Not surprisingly the fanatical neo-cons (Zionists) are the real architects of this aggressive US foreign policy that is design to weaken the Arab/Muslim countries.

THE HISTORY OF MIDI LEAST AND ISRAEL CONFLICT

After the establishment of Israel, the "Irgun" gang led by Menachem Begin became the right-wing Likud Party, while the "Haganah" terrorists and the criminal Stern gang integrated to form the Israeli Defence Force (IDF). Therefore, Israel is a terrorist state by its nature; its institutions were born out of the terrorism of terrorist groups and theft of Arab/Muslim lands. Israel continues to function in this mode, terrorising the region for the ultimate goal of building Eretz (greater) Israel. The map issued by Begin's Irgun gang is proof of that vision of creating Eretz Israel, when Israel was not even born. Menachem Begin explicitly stated this in 1947:

"Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel, all of it and for ever."

All of these terrorist groups terrorised the indigenous Muslim/Arabs, driving them out of their lands. This is the source of the problem, the root of the Arab-Israeli conflict: foreigners who have sought refuge in the land of olive (Palestine - "Bilad az-Zaytun"), turn violent on the indigenous population. These ungrateful Zionist terrorists also attacked the British occupational forces, despite the fact that it was the British government who facilitated their 'settlement' in these lands. They bombed King David Hotel, killing 91 people that comprised largely of British civilians. Menachem Begin of the Stern Gang was wanted by the British authorities for his criminal activities.

Armchair journalism
by mozzy on Aug 24, 2006 11:54 AM  Permalink

Sudhir Bisht,
Good article, but too bad it didnt completely reflect the truth regarding the Palestine/Israel issue. Opinions may be relative, but truth is one. I find it far more easier to believe what these Israeli Jewish organizations that i give below say than what you perceive (or make yourself perceive?) from your armchair.

Rabbis for Human Rights
Ta'ayush
Coalition of women for just peace
Jews for peace
Israeli committee against house demolitions
Oasis of peace
Refuseniks
Women in black

etc etc. They are comprised of Jews born and brought up in Israel far more closer to reality than from your armchair.

And indeed it is a dangerous argument to say that the Palestinians didnt own the land in the first place. India as we know NOW didnt exist when the British took over it. Suppose the British had allowed the Jews to settle here perhaps in Rajasthan or somewhere and they in turn with time had turned against the British, fought with them and claimed the land to be their own, would you still come up with the same argument?

And yes you conveniently forgot or didnt know that Israel is yet to comply a UN resolution passed in 1967 to stop the occupation.

THE HISTORY OF MID EAST AND ISRAEL CONFLICT
by AHMAD SHAHZAD on Aug 24, 2006 11:53 AM  Permalink

Even before the abovementioned words were uttered by Ben Gurion, and before the establishment of Israel: terrorism, assassination and propaganda were the primary tools of the Jewish immigrants arriving from Europe and Russia. Ironically, many of them were fleeing persecution but upon their arrival they began to persecute another innocent nation! These Jewish (Zionist) terrorists organised themselves into groups and one of the earliest one was called the "Haganah"; its members included the likes of Yitzhak Rabin, Ariel Sharon and Moshe Dayan. From "Haganah", the "Irgun" gang was formed by the more fanatical right-wing members; the group was later led by Menachem Begin. However, the "Irgun" gang also split in 1940; their off-shoot was called the "Lehi" also known by the British as the "Stern Gang", named after its leader Avraham Stern.

Article is written in a biased tone
by Skasster on Aug 24, 2006 10:33 AM  Permalink

If you wish to disseminate information in a truly neutral manner, which is the hallmark of good journalism, then it had better be done - this article reeks of Pro-Israeli bias.. sentences like "Israel survived due to doggedness". Doggedness? its not your place to judge how they survived by speculating in thin ar - rather give the facts and be done. Let the reader make up their minds. Honestly, the level of writing at Rediff.com makes the Times of India look like the New York Times or the Independant. Get some good editors, please. And throughout the article Arabs and Israelis are named as enemies when suddenly there is a shift to muslims and jews. Perhaps your 'journalist' should be aware that Arabs tend to be both muslims and christians. And stop using the internet for research - read Said or even Ben Gurion's books to get a better idea on the matter. Or better articles from other newspapers and magazines.

Now, lets say the land isn't anybodies and all are trying to capture it for their own interest. My question, Did Jews owned the land thousands of years ago? and if they did why did they leave and want it back? Other who captured it why di they want it back with such constant persiverance? Does ownership of the land during wars helds valid? Can assests be maintaned over the ages? Hope you write something about this after some study...

There are some errors in facts about Israel

Israel was conquered by the Romans and was under Rome even during the time of Jesus. Since the Jews were unwilling to bow down to Romans gods as they bow down only to "Jehovah" God, the Romans wanted to kill all the Jews. And under the Roman general Hadrian, the Romans destroyed the Temple at Jerusalem and other entire Israeli cities and drove out the Jews and renamed Judah and Samaria as Palestine just to spite the Jews whose greatest enemies were the Philistines. Only a few Jews remained and they mingled with the Arabs, Syrian, Jordanians. But there were always one Jewish leader or the other trying to set up an Israeli state for more that 2000 years. Only in 1948 their struggle became a reality and a small piece of land was declared as Israel.

The so called farmlands mentioned in your article were not farmlands at all. They were barren desert lands that were purchased over several years by the Jews since they wanted to return to their homeland someday and were willing to pay and buy lands that once belonged to them. The so called "Palestinians" sold the land because they saw no value in the desert land.
