To, all the people who are against such the detention of Indian
by AMARESH on Aug 25, 2006 10:50 AM  Permalink

It is also now an acceptable truth that worldwide the community are under scanner and it is definitely very unfortunate. The people who are broadminded and feel that such stigma should be washed must consider and eradicate the causes by exposing about the people (strict social vigilance is required and it is necessary also, if such stigma is to be washed) who directly or indirectly helps the terrorists (few are enumerated below), as it would establish their credibility.
1. People (our) directly involved in terrorism.
2. People who provide necessary support such as logistics, shelter, food, local information etc. as without this terrorist act especially in place like Mumbai or other major cities are not possible.
3. People who have indirect support in the name of religion (no religion advocates for terrorism) and spreads fundamentalism.
Now all the people have been released, so they and their relatives / friend must have experienced the agony of such situation and therefore must think these so that in future the innocents are not harassed. The people should not fall under the trap of so-called leaders, be political, religious etc. and allowed them to exploit the situation.

12 Passengers detained in Amsterdam
by Indrajit Sethi on Aug 25, 2006 09:27 AM  Permalink

You cannot behave aboard a flight as if you are travelling in Mumbai local train.

Some of our countrymen do not know basics of decency and behave atrociously abroad thus bringing disrepute to our country.

When cornered by authorities - cries of racialism is an easy escape.

Trade associations must screen delegates going abroad and even arrange lessons on how to conduct to avoid such happenings again.

Not terrorists just Indian
by Camrit on Aug 24, 2006 03:10 AM  Permalink

of course they are not terrorists, just typical Indians not caring for rules. I am sure they didnt expect US Air marshals on the plane monitoring their cell phone use! Also they didnt expect the Air marshals to react when they (in their typical Indian manner) got up when the seat belt sign was on.. and tried to pass their phones to their friends.. I hope the police do the same all over india, when indians break rules, on the road, when they spit and pee on the road etc..

security gone too far
by Shan on Aug 23, 2006 11:28 PM  Permalink

Its a clear case of security gone too far.
Airline crews have been given too much power and are too itchy. Normal behaviour seems to be triggering alerts.

Their is a strong case to have Air Marshals and video recording on all planes.
