The missionaries understand economics as much as the multi national corporations do. As Indian economy grows Indian will become richer and this is going to happen unless Indian realy screw themselves. Missionaries understand this very well and they know it is cheaper to convert an Indian today and it also would be better return on their investment when the converts become richer. India would be a majority Christian nation in another 100 years that's going to happen whether we like it or not, only questions is will we be Catholic or Evangelical. Tell the majority christian nation, we don't believe in god or nation we only believe in allah or atheism and see how well you will be received? If all hindus convert to christianity, muslims & communists can kiss their ass goodbye.

I, very much think that the political power was there ; for full 5 years : still the desire is more and more power again and again for longer and longer duration from country to country . Can this desire be ever fulfilled ??? ? ?.I can only pray to god.

True in some ways
by parish on Aug 23, 2006 03:58 AM  Permalink

I am not sure of the extent of US involvment and I believe that not all NGO's function as a facilitator for conversion. But I do know for a fact from direct experience that some Americans who come to India on visits do have other "motives". What amazed me about these visitors is that they no more come to India under the banner of "missionaries" which is atleast very transperent. I have had friends who have come to India for "accent training" and other such activities but it was very clear that they were going to "have the talk" as they like to call it with as many people as possible. They are now devising smarter ways of realising their main objective which is conversion and it is appalling. Monitors must be placed on such activities to understand their exact nature.

United Way involved in conversion!
by Sundu on Aug 23, 2006 03:54 AM  Permalink

I work as a contractor in US. Last month i heard from one my friends here that she had contributed a percentage of her salary to United Way. One of the project she selected for her contribution to be Used was named Project India. She assumed that this project would be used for some welfare projects, but apparently it was used for converting Hindu's to Christians. She received a letter thanking her for contributing to this conversion and the letter also indicated that for each USD 1 they receive from each contributor one person is converted to a christian.

Outrageous!

religeous conversons
by aushadi on Aug 23, 2006 03:34 AM  Permalink

yes i agree with the author.christinity and islam are spreading at a fasy rate in INDIA.we hindus must take this very seriously.it looks like the govt is still not at all serious about china.the excellent railway network along our border is a testimony that china has serious plans for INDIA in future.
we hindus should ask ourselves \"\'why do people convert to another religion\"\"???.we must do awaya with the rigid hierckey of cast in hinduism.only that will prevent people from converting to another religin.

Beechare RSS!
by Bhagwat on Aug 23, 2006 02:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What can the RSS do against the onslaught of these Christian foreigners. If only they had more time and money. Then they could have concentrated more on serving the poor in their own country by building schools, colleges and hospitals. But if they spend their time doing all that, then who will go about protesting against conversion disguised by way of serving the underprivelleged.

Poor old RSS!

Listen Mr. another indian. The article says that US is in the involvement of illegal conversion. Every religion is running towards us "Hindus" to convert them just because we are silent by nature and taking our religion very lightly whereas in other religion there are strong activists and terrorists exists who enforces people to adopt their ones. So the argument is totally valid.
What OBCs and General kinda questions are raised that is raised by our stupid politician. Not by hindus as a religion. "POLITICIANS ARE TRUE CRIMINALS OF THE SYSTEM".
So the article is well appreciated.

The article is very logical and true as well. It is time for Hindus to unite together and stand up against such actions otherwise they will be misunderstood as fools. They have to give firm message that we do understand what is going on and such tactics will not work. Regarding madrassass, they definately must be banned as they are the biggest threat to indian security.

Why do you think hindus would get together? When the govt. wants to give quota for OBC (which would benefit mostly hindus) the same hindus protest against it. people who want hindus to gettogether oppose it when it comes to issues of downtrodden hindus. First the caste hindus should stop this double talk...then things would fall in place.
