Wow, what a article. Sir, I think after 5 years of long time I have read this first article that says something good which we all know but never realised about India. What inspired me to write to you is the thought that you mentioned in your article that you can not even think of staying in countries where everthing is Homogenous. Believe me that is what I feel after coming to Australia. My wife and myself are missing India every second. It is responsibilites that have tied us in this homogenous part of world. A while ago there was one article on rediff whose heading was "10 things I hate about India" and belive me that was one of the most emailed article on rediff, I dont know what will happen to your article, but this is the world now a days we are in. I would like more and more people to write such articles and email it more and more to others. I certainly believe that this will create a wave of patroitism among us. India has its downs but India has its ups too and lets start spreading the ups that is what atleast we can do.Thank you once again for your article.
Certainly true.....! See the Gulf countries.., they have only one relegion but most of them time they fight each other Sunni & Shieh.. In Iran 100s of dying often in this couse.. so as elswhere in muslim countries like pakistan.. They feel they are muslim country or christian.... but within them the most of the problems.. to be honestly in India even Hindu muslim problems are far lesser than the muslim world within them... Thatz y the muslims are said to be frog in the well.. they havent seen the outer world.. they dont know how the others living together with prosperity.. the very multi ethnic India can proud of this.. No where in the world we can see this.. but in a crisis see how indians get gathered and help each other which cant even witness in the US..
But now a days the very freedom we enjoy., some muslims are mis-using and spoiling the communal harmony.. they are creating issues now and then and most of the time ISI and the fanatic muslims are creating this to their survival.
I love India and proud of being a Hindustani... even a re-birth, i would pray to get in this beutiful country where parents are respected... elders are respected..Jai Hind. Jayan.
Hello, I was quite impressed at the above article. Its very true..having been visited few countries myself,i always feel indians have more tolerence than others because of the fact that we see so many religions, culture, languages as we grow up.As the author rightly said even countries with just one dominant religion will have numerous clashes between sects or opinion differencs between churches etc.So differences lie in human minds not in the outside world. If every one acknowledges this they may do a bit of introspection before pointing finger at other religions.
