Diversity is just one of the feature of indian society . It can not be reason for being bullish.
India is victim of diversity and our political thought line exploits diversity only making biggest democracy as biggest misuse of democracy.
why you conveniently forget ancient , mediveal and modern history ? What we call tolerance is nothing more than careless-ness of abouth everything even out nationhood.
Well written article. India is truly a diverse country. I once read an article which said that with every 100 miles that you travel in India you encounter different cusine, language, terrain, dress habits etc. One thing I like the most is the colour. We are so vibrant and so colourful which I throughly missed during my stay aboard, be it in our clothes, the rangolis in front of the houses, the colourful flowers that adore the dieties, even the painting of the houses is so colourful. I only hope we Indians realise the significance of our diversity and the depth in our culture and traditions, and make every attempt to preserve it and pass it on to our next generation.
Even i share the similar roads of life as the author. Indian culture is formed by intermixing of different cultures, which is the advantage in terms of being a better and a broad minded person, required so much in the modern world and the world of tommorow. Yet the world today is really divided in my opinion between only two clans: the rich and the poor
Read your message and, was nice to know that a person at your level has realy seen the country that is bharat, and sir b'coz of this only the world is bullish about our country, but before the world becomes more bullish we need to have more people like how the our courtry what it is in ture india.
sir i which i some day this side of my country and enjoy it.
In an age where people take pride in writing highly biased inflammatoty articles, your article stands out. It made a wonderful reading and made us feel good. Thanks!!
The views expressed by G V Dasarathi,is perfectly correct and we must be vigilant as this unique equlibrium is being subjected to destabilization by unnatural things such as communal riots and religious conversions by exploiting poverty and helplessness.
