They say,"Islam does not sanction indiscriminate Violence " ......CAN IT SANCTION DISCRIMINATE VIOLENCE ???" .......HOW THE HELL THEY GET THE AUTHORITY TO SANCTION ??? THESE ARE ALSO ORDINARY HUMANS IN THE CREATION ALONG WITH OTHERS. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SPECIALLY CREATED WITH EXTRA HUMAN ORGANS OR QUALITIES.
This kind of thinking itself is misguiding and encouraging them to dispense Jihads on INNOCENTS !!!
STOP THIS !!! THE INHUMAN, IRRATIONAL , BEASTLY VIOLENCE TO SETTLE FAMILY SCORES.....BUT TRANSMITTED AS A SCOURGE TO HUMANITY. May be it is that adamant nature which has made them enemies to their own blood brothers through Abraham or Ibraheem...children of the same father. They have internationalised their palestinean problem and are endangering the planet earth's bounties of happiness with the excuse that there are 72 virgins, rivers of wine, endless youth....................for their unseen heaven !!! This is the scenario when they made every one their enemy just because of some petty family property sharing issues between Sara and hajar's children. But Islamic religion has made it a world scourge and human enmity....causing destruction all over. That is the proof of its dangerousness for human survival.
No guarantee of welfare of all as nobody will survive to see how far it is effective for remodelling human existance on this planet.
May I request the writer to change the headlines of the article and make it Terrorism vs Capitalism. One should not comment about anything, which is not known to one properly. Islam doesn't preach terrorism and hatred. It presses on universal fraternity. Please, don't tarnish Islam. Punish those terrorists for terror acts and give them HELL. But Islam has nothing to do with it. All true muslims, just come together and purge Islam of the vulgar and satanic elements, who are given to destroiying the images of Islam and render it glorious!! I think a big and bold political motive of the West is working strongly to tarnish Islam by introducing raw elements and giving indulgence into it.
The title has some problems. We should not forget that Islam does not prohibit trade and business. There are many muslim capitalists in the world. They have nothing against Capitalism per se which basically involves combined use of savings(captial), human labour and technology and management to produce goods and services for profit. There are many successful businessmen who are also strong believers in Islam. So what is the problem with Islam? I read this in a Christian Magazine and this is what it is. Both Islam and Christianity seek Universal Conversion. The propenents of these two religions believe that only their religion is the true religion and all other religions are false. So it comes down to this, Convert or else !!!! The only change is that the Western Civilization and modernization has softened up the Christians some what and they now don't hammer their religion on others as much. Also the power of Catholic church has decreased with the rise of the Anglican and the Protestants. Evangelicals are American protestants and Bush is one of them. About 50% of Americans are Evangelicals.
Its really sad and disgusting when people like this author, who doesnt know what islam is all about start writing things which they assume, let me remind the author that, when they assume things, they make the ass of themsleves and others. To understand Islam, one needs to study the biography of the Prophet Mohammed pbuh written by people who follow his teachings not by some misguided biased , Islamophobic author. When you understand what the status of the prophet is in Islam, you will join all the muslims in protesting against those bigoted cartoonist who offended billions of muslims. The author starts by directing our attention to international terrorism and the global war on terrorism but fails to continue to keep this dicussion in the macroscopic perspective. Instead, he begins to very shortly (2 short statements) to discuss the "Capitalism" aspect of his article;which comes down to nothing more than a vague synopsis on the military endeavors of the US.
Capitalism is a topic of not religoius discussion but instead of an ideology based on financial goals:An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market. Islam is not a contender to this ideology but instead a propagater of free market competition through personal ownership and responsibility. The author doesn't even mention this aspect of the discussion.
The author writes "The problem is that socio-economic factors lead to political-religious manifestations" is invalid. Its the opposite actually. When one supresses socio-economic growth, the population grows to focus on religious growth. But the one suppressing hasn't realized that both are one.

Over all, an excellent analysis. I like the comparison of resource-crunched Capitalistic/Christian world and resource-rich/politically repressed Islamic worlds. Great article with some stating the obvious.
Gentle man, it is not worth speaking about creatures for whom religion is more important than humanity & nation. Have u not heard of any creature who hates singing patriotic song like VANDEMATARAM just for the sake of some dirty religious reasons...
