My thanks Mr Richard M Bennett for his exellent article, ineed to tell onething here is,United Kingdom intelligen very lately recognised what the pak (military & ISI) is doing.Definately they supporting the Islamist terrorist(nodoubt at all)
Dear sir, First of all I would agree with you that ISI is a child of CIA. But what about the original problem of Jammu & Kashmir. The J&K state was a seperate state, and UN has also accepted it, u have written about peace but what about the Indian forces attrocities like murder, rape and killing children. When u see facts like this u close your eyes. But when something happens on the other side u start shouting. Let us be practical, J&K is a problem, and we have to solve it.
Well Nice article. Well written.. but who is gonna act on this?
No one and nothing's gonna happen whatever we write say or blog....
Unless the Political parties think above votes and take action from What is neccessary from INDIA's persrective instead of :-( Caste, Religion, votes...
I think its a piece of rubbish. Its like India is losing patience. well past 59 years hasnt worked secondly why India let Kashmiris give their freedom. History has nothing to support india
Dear Mr. Benette, Nice to learn how to see things and analyse it. But the thing if you can think like this, why cant Mr.Bush and Blair ! These guys continue to pamper Pakistan which really hurts Indian sentiments badly...Pakistan doesnt deserve a place in global society for its henious PROXY wars it plays against India with a hand of friendship shown after every terror attack !
Mr Bennet you have indeed done your homework on this region it seems. i am delighted to see a european has realised that pakistan is waging a proxy war against india and its high time it too military decisions like israel and get rid of the menace of terriorism for some time to come.
hope mr. bennet's words fall on the deaf ears of our politians too.....and make them push some breaks on the bus and train thing for ever....
It is the Pakistani hand behind the Kashmiri militant.LeT. JM,HM,Etc are the creation of ISI of Pakistan. No wonder, the blowing up of airliners over the Atlantic Ocean finally may be proved to be the creation of Pakistan. The episode might have been stage managed by them to show to the world that they are actively participating in the war on terror, to save itself from the difficult position they are in.They will never allow the Pakistani collaborators / conspirators to be questioned by the UK/US Police.
Yes, all this is great reading in India but none of these so called intelligence greats have the guts to publish these documents in US & UK papers or on their news channels.Thats because their TV's and papers have been constatntly censoring all news in favour of their governments and their government's stooges across the world. If at all they want their papers to have any effect then it should be available to the general public of western nations so that they can influence their governments to take action against errant countries like pakistan.
The secular politicians here are so very concerned that they may lose the Muslim support that they do not dare to call the terrorists islamist militants. In fact, they are willing to reason that the motives behind the 11th July terror stikes in Mumbai as a reaction to the Gujarat riots.
They have stooped to new lows as far as their principles and scruples are concerned.
Our respected Prime Minister says that we are going to win this war on terror. But he does not explain how. Why, we have not even shown a proper enough response - diplomatic or otherwise - to Pakistan post the Mumbai blasts. This sends across a message to Pakistan that it is free to do whatever it likes on Indian soil. We will not even bother to look towards you. After all, it is the question of Muslim sentiment in India. How can we talk of attacking Pakistan? More importantly, how can we adopt the Israeli strategy of taking the attack to the enemy camp?
I do not think the Indian State has the heart to resolve the problem that is Pakistan. It will be resolved only if the US wakes up and acknowledges that Pakistan, whom it had considered it's ally in the fight against terror, is in fact the problem.

Dear han,
The author has indeed written a nice article. I am glad that someone from the western world has called Pakistan the epicentre of terrorism. The author has mentioned that India and Israel would take decisive military action against the terrorists. It was about this that I was tring to say that India will never take any punitive action against Pakistan, a terrorist state, and the reason behind this soft stand. That India can never have the guts that Israel has in dealing with the terrorists.
There were many more things that I wanted to write about; the limit on the maximum characters allowed by Rediff did not allow me to.
By the way han, you did not write your ideas except criticise me for mine. Did you mention something about pet peeves?

The author has written a nice article, and here is a guy (Sanjay Rao) who took it to flog his pet theory of "pseudo secularism and Minority appeasement". Dear sanjay Rao, sometimes you can have a clear mind unmuddied by your pet peeeves, and view things as they are. Get out of the rut and try.
