What is the use of sending this bill to JPC? As per the criteria majority of the members of the JPc will be from the rulling collition parties.So ir is the foregone coclusion that the JPC inspite of the views of the oppostion members will pass a verdict which will suit the rulling collition.In the present secenario it will be better if the president should refer the bill to the supreme court. Govt. should not object to that rather Govt. should be party to that.
What is the message that the Government sends out by referring the bill to JPC AFTER passing a bill based on self-interest and expediencey to the President? Are they saying that the bill may be unconstitutional but we passed it to ensure current members are not impacted?
If this is the respect for law by our paliamentarians, how can we expect ordinary citizens to respect law?
