For India to become a True Super power then the following has to be done: The current free for all westminister system which has seen criminals, mafia dons,Spies and traitors becoming cabinet ministers and steeped in corruption from top to bottom can never lead the country to superpower status. We need a two party presidential system of government and a literate population to elect educated and capable people as leaders. As both the above are missing, we at least need a benevolent Dictatorship like China, Singapore, Taiwan or South Korea. Such a government has to : 1) Control population growth because You can never prosper if you keep adding the size of australia every year to your population 2) Make 700 million people literate, 3) Build proper roads, Bridges and Ports 4) build proper telecommunication facilities 5) Revamp Education system 6)Build proper health care system for the entire country 7) Kick out crores of illegal bangladeshi immigrants out of this country 8) Put down the rising maoist insurgencies, terrorism of various hues all over the country. Until the above is done India may do well in some sectors like IT,Space, but will never become a real Super Power
i do belive that in india becoming super power only when it stops outsourcing knowledgeable students like that of the IIT's and ask them to imbide there thoughts and idea's in the development of our country rather than others......
India becomes superpower by 2010. Let us deam and now start working positively to make this dream come true. My view is that intially we have to identify the major hurdles and sort it out permanently.Major hurdles may be overpopulation, unemployment, corruption at all levels, politician & buarucrates with vested interest, communal clash, failure to tackle crimes at levels, urbanization, insuficient support to science & technology etc.Further i believe that these hurdlems can be solved with proper planning with right implimentation stratergies.
Let our PM FM and buisness leader celebrate wipro infosys tata reliance and stock-index .all these out together we just can not be a succesful nation.
India may become a collapsed nation like soviet-union amidst lot of personal excellence despite the system. currently we are biggest misuse of democracy on earth. we have exploitation in name of religion & cast. We adopted democracy as rule of governance copying UK & US example without knowing how to apply it in our context. our celebrated values like liberty freedom and tolerance has been actually our liability.
If every officer in this country does his job then I think the problem to success is solved.Employees in govt. run institutions take their jobs for granted that is the root to all the corruption, redtapism and what not.
India to become superpower is out of question - though indians are getting rich - india is not growing. Our Civilisation dates back to 3200 b.c -Salient features are 1.Good roads, sewage system , literacy etc.,we are still thriving to the same things after 5000 years - i dont see the change in next 100 years atleast Infact we are back in civilisation - Power and money rule india more than law and order we are going back to the barbarian life than to live as a civilised society, I accept there are corruption and bad things in other countries but people in the west are more afraid of doing bad things than in india. An american or brit doesnot throw litters outside in their country because he is been disciplined by the laws in the country (not that he is born like that) Goverment must understand they play a major role in life of civilians and civilisation. Goverment should have laws equal for every one and people should be afraid of the laws(otherwise there is no point having a law). current scenario in india people who have to maintain law and order are accepting bribes without shame in public Overall my rough calculation for india to be become a developed nation is 75 - 100
