How'll India become a superpower by 2010?
by labrea on Aug 15, 2006 08:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dream on! The overwhelmimg majority of India's illiterate and poverty-stricken population resides in her 600,000 odd villages, who are still living in the medieval era with a mindset to match. For starters, there are no proper schools, roads, water supply, electicity or access to healthcare and you expect all this to happen by 2010? Think of the mafias runing the country, from UP to TN - with such morons at the helm and divisive populist politics, can anyone in their right mind even imagine or conceptualize India as becoming a 'superpower' even by 2050? NO! Nahi! Nyet! Nein! Non! India has been and will continue to be run by useless, do-nothing, butt-licking, cowardly, yellow-bellied, myopic fools and idiots.

Here is how.....
by Jatin Patel on Aug 15, 2006 08:02 PM  Permalink

Really speaking:(Not Cool!)
1. Kick the UPA and NDA out of power and give an opportunity to somebody else.
2. Abolish all discriminating laws like article 370, reservations for SC/ST/OBC and promote core competency.
3. Open up market with laws and regulations to protect security of indian citizens, who can be employed by MNC, but not exploited.
4. Corruption in public office should be punished with death penalty.
5. Develop more indigenous defense systems reducing reliance on Russia and US
6. Develop dignity for every citizen, to the last citizen and hang those terrorists.
7. Reduce the political term to 3.5 years and elliminate cost of beurocracy. India does not need president and PM. President's job is technically a job of chief justice. This will reduce government spending and expenditure in indian democracy.
8. Restore 1947 boundries for tax collection i.e. entire J&K belongs to India.

Alternatively (really cool),
DO NOTHING, let LeT, Taliban, pakistan, bangladesh, and other mafias like SIMI take over India to make it Issa Allah super power with nukes...divide indians on SC/ST/OBC/Ram-Allah. Promote uneducated to top like Lalu and enjoy worlds largest democraZy.

Waive our inexperiencial act in foreign policy
by Lajapathy on Aug 15, 2006 05:46 PM  Permalink

Hi every body,

If India to be a superpower, first she has to make their own foreign policy which she lacks and in many times she follows their western counterpart. She lost her importance in Srilankan issue. She should involve in that issue and should help tamil tigers. Unfortunately by thinking of past stories of Murder of our then PM, we are losing our attention. This would lead to the involvement of US and other western powers directly and which in turn threats India's security. Another default on Iran nuclear issue, She took the stand of western powers though welknown about their plan to gain control over Iran's vast oil power like Iraq. We should take a different stand as of now in our foreign policy and should be dynamic with this modern foreign policies so as to gain super power like China. Another disaster is that our parliment should not compromise in security not only with the parliment campus but with the entire nation. Even a single bomb blast in the very corner of suburbs of any third class town or village should be treated as the blast in the Parliment or in Rastrapathi bhavan. Common people also humans, Indians etc., as the people in parliment. Then India can be S.P

How to be a super power
by George Deenbandhu IMS on Aug 15, 2006 11:44 AM  Permalink

When we learn to respect the dignity of the least of our citizen, when we become conscious of the rights of our neigbours, when we hear the cry of the girl child who is not allowed to be born, when we stop killing our own people just because she/he is from a different caste, region, religion and above all when we stop saying you and I becasue these come from utter selfishness and of ego.

We will be a super power when we stand together as 'WE' at all situations, places of worship, work places, public palces, panchayats, Assemblies and in the houses of Loksabha and Rajyasabha. Jai Manav.

Pride, hah
by sanman on Aug 15, 2006 03:46 AM  Permalink

Pride comes before a fall.

The most favorite word in the Indian vocabulary is pride.

India should certainly develop its power, but to do so it should stop counting its chickens before they are hatched.

Can't even stop the damned terrorists, meantime they are dreaming of superpowerdom. I call it stuporpower.

How will India become superpower
by sd on Aug 15, 2006 02:29 AM  Permalink

Our leaders know patriotism only in sloagans and for preaching to others. They become politicians just for personal benefits(e.g.Natwar Singh). We need rulers who will:-

1. abolish reservations based on castes and bring about reservations based only on economic backwardness,

2. nationalize all the castes. From that fine morning, we shall have only one caste, Indian',

3. abolish corruption at all levels. Computerize all processes so that red tape will have no chance,

4. plant vegetation and lawns wherever there is open space,

5. observe rules and law of the land in its true sence and not just for finding loopholes in it,

6. be 'pro-Indian' just like the USA is pro USA. Do not compromise national security at any cost and keep it free of pressures,

7. deal with the enemies of the nation firmly whether they are internal or external. Do not just issue spineless statements every time these enemies attack you,

8. In USA, groups of farmers purchase costly agricultural equipment by contributing money and use that equipment for everybody's farms. We can also do it forming co-operatives (non-corrupt)

9. Maintain cleanliness.Induce heavy penalties and punishments for spitting etc
