India is SUPER POWER only in corruptions and inefficient Politicians. If political Parties like BJP comes to power for atleast another one decade, we can expect that India can definitely beocme super Power in all the fields. Congress/UPA government is directionless.
I feel very dejected when i see some youth begging in station,bus stand or by the side of temple.India can achieve its glory only if youths of this country realise their power,Way back one of great Chinese Leader said " If you want to Ruin a country ,poison the youths morally and culturally.So if india want to boom in every sector we hav to protect our youths provide them oppotunity to work on their draems,Every time we complain about our Population,currption....have you ever given a thought it is we who give undertable money...no one wants to stand in line to get a reservation ticket..every one of us has an urge to give 30-50Rs extra and get it from backdoor.Youth are mislead by Media the politics is the worst carrier to opt for...media highlights scandles, ways to commit crime,ways to make money illegally.I haven't seen any of the news paper, except few, highlightng the novel deeds of youths. All good talents are opting for MNC jobs.We have to revamp our system to attract these talents.Few focus areas have to be declared by govenment evry year to work on,e.g Governance this year,Police and internal security year to come,Education policy next year and so on.All these plans sh
Who said Indians are not developed. India is already developed nation like US. 1. Culture I saw some people posting about culture. One can see lots of major cities... People are more advanced in dressing... they wear and bear more than western countries nowadays that too without dressing sense(Where to wear and what to wear). I never saw people wearing indecent clothes in office & sacred places in US. It only happens in India. In US & UK more woman smoke & drink than men... India is also developed in this case. Multiple & Illicit relations... India is beating all the nations in this field. 2. Defence: Government is buying arms, almost each and everything (Scrap) from most developed countries. It gets No.1 arms of the coutries like US, Russia, France and GB. So India is No.1 buying all the best. 3. Agriculture: India will be soon stop its agriculture production. There will be no farmers in India in future. Not because there is enough food. Because people in guture will be fit for only working infront of computers. Its good to dream about becoming a superpower but there are lots of task to be done before we can even dream about it. Most of our development is in the cities , in metros. But what about the villages and small towns? Most of ou indian population is still living in small towns and villages and are deprived of basic necessities. there is no electricity, water problem is there. children esp. girls hardly receive education in villages.We have to be 100 % litereate country. We have get rid of corruption in our nation.And that begins from ourselves. Blaming politicians is no use coz we are the ones who choose them. we have to get rid of social evils like dowry and female infanticide and have mutual respect for both the genders. We have to create opportunities for our educated youth i.e. doctors, engineers, scientists, MBA\'s etc. so that instead of going to the west they stick to India and make contributions for their own nation. We have to eradicate caste system which is still so deep rooted in our society esecially the villages. As people, we have to learn to encourage and appreciate fellow indians rather than pulling down the successful ones. Too much to do before 2010!

Always think positive dear. The development starts from a single person. Just tell me one thing, when u are caught by a traffic police, the first thing u ask them is "how much will u take?", this proves the corruption starts from here. And tell anyone nation where corruption, voilence, riots have disappeared. If u think u cant develop, u never will. & this is the secret of the developed nations. they have belived in themselves so can we.
India will never become a superpower by 2010, it might not become till 3010 because of corruption, politics, religious riots and violence. they can be super in dividing religions and hatred amount the communities of the country. India is not deserved to be a super power because of over population, poverty, religious hatred, Corruption, political games and many more... So, First be super power in solving these issues and then think to be a world super power...
Let's start being positive and show a little +ve attitude ourself before we even point our finger to anybody else. Pl. don't think that I am a politician, cause I am just an Indian who really belives that we have 10 times more the capacity and resources to be the supreme power and I have accounted most of them. I think what we have, no other country in the world has it today and that is 700 million strong, energetic youth power which is more than anything. Right now countries like China, Japan and America has the biggest problem ahead of them which is " Aging population" they also call it "Greying of the country" so their growth has to slow down and they know this problem. Their eye is on young countries like India, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, for young blood to run and keep growing. You think America can afford those lines of Visa seekers in young countries any more....I don't think so. Very Soon they will revise their visa policies for people of Young countries and there won't be lines for visa seekers any more. We need to learn these global changes, plan and execute our actions accordingly. I am sure we can do it. Time is still with us. " Be Patriotic "

Ron Patel, Thanks for your positive notes about the future prospects that India have. But I have a different opnion towards that,first we need to define what we mean as becoming "Super Power", becuase that is very essential when we move forward. India is a very complex country when compared US,UK, Japan and other Western countries. From a linguistic perspective the countries that I have named has only one language to speak, but we have strong roots for many regional languages and still we don't have a single opnion on our national language. This is just a small piece of the concern. In addition to that India has close to 73% of the population living in rural area. If we say India want to become a Superpower by 2010 or 3010 we need to address the issues that are faced in Rural India first. Instead of that, if we just focus on the boom of Service sector we are fooling ourselves as such we are marching towards "Super power" status. In my point of view even "US" itself is a fake "Super Power", recent example shows that how it handled the Katrina tragedy. So, unless we address the basic needs for all the citizens we are no way close to think of Super Power status.
INDIA!!! A Superpower? If we see in present, this is a joke. Forget Superpower, India dont even have power to control its people. Anyone can come in and anyone can go out of this country with some cash. Its like an open ground where any one can come in for a walk. If India dosent built any fence around this ground, then it will never become a Superpower.
All the growth in India that we see is basically in urban india, that too a handful of cities like the metros, bangalore, pune, hyderabad, gurgaaon!! Thats about it,, i think if we are to become a superpower by 2010, we need govt needs to pay more attention smaller towns and rural India. States like Orrisa, Bihar, and some of the north eastern states havent improved one bit for the last 20 years!! So i feel urban india is doing just fine, but more attention needs to paid on the urban india, the real india
