India a superpower by 2010, is totally impossible... I think some using this phrase must be joking... The first thing india should do to be a super power is to give power in the hands of bureucrats rather than politicianss....India military should excatly do what thailand military did...throw the politicians out and create a new consitutions, giving power to beaurocracy... And if possible try to show a patriotic path to all muslims in the country...either be patriotic or go back to pakistan...we've to eliminate anti india elements from india... It's time for india to focus on rural areas..as urban areas don;t need any more attention..people are much more ducated in urban areas and do know the well being on there areas... this is a time the younger generation has to come forward like they did during AIIMS issue...but for gods these politicians have a root inside colleges too..that should be taken out too.. India needs a new constitution to be a superpower as early as possible
I suggest 5 steps 1) For administration, remove IAS and appoint MBA's FROM IIM. IAS are mostly corrupt by Birth. 2) Control Population. 3) Control Curruption and try to come into top 10 curruption free country. 4) Educate 100% People. Make litracy criteria as read/write/speak/express, not just singnature. 5) Teach values to our children/Youth 6) Kill all existing Politician/Terrorist/Currupts/Unhumen animal from our society.
Good to hear that india can become superpower by 2010. It is possible if there is no corruption and the present corrupt politicians with this system. The politicians being on the top flow the corruption to the lower levels of intellectuals/officials. Like fluid corruption flows from top to bottom.
Dont know if this discussion would put India on top of the world. But this would bring some new customers for Rediff Connexions. Good way to catch customers ... :-)
i doubt really,as there is both flip and flop side to the notion and unfortunately flip side is more apparent.in the nutshell,india cann't hope herself anywhere closer of being the superpower untill women here are burnt,tortured and abused on the flimiest of the pretext,old age destitute women(60-70yrs) have to fend themselves on the street by begging,let alone the gross lack of infrastructural facilities like drinking water,electricity, roads,schools and health centers.
We can truly become a superpower if we follow the following norms. 1) Eliminate corruption. 2) Improve Roads for transportation which is the basis of infrastructure ( automatically invloves elimination of corruption). 3) Make very strict laws to maintain cleanliness. 4) Eliminate reservations and approve merit. 5) Create awareness for control of population growth. 6) Degree Education must for politicians. 7) Criminals cannot contest election from jail.
If we can achive even one of the above we can call oursleves superpower and need not wait for others see us as a superpower.
We will became superpower by end of 2010 or 2011.It is time for India to come out and say to the world .I am strong in number of people, economic strength and military strength with indigenous high-tech infrastructure.
