Politicians and their wealth
by Navin on Aug 11, 2006 05:16 PM  Permalink

Dear All,

I'm delighted that atleast corruption events like these are coming to public eyes offlate. However, Natwar Singh episode is open only because of US reports, otherwise i'm sure none of us would have got to know this. The only thing to watch in future will be the punishment to corrupt politicians.

Now, this may be just the tip on an iceberg. Otherwise, how do politicians have so much of wealth? I'm sure they are not living these lifestyles with 15K Rupees of pay cheque every month?

India's financial system is very weak and until and unless the system is made robust politicians and businessmen will continue to make money by corrupt practices and we poor tax payers will continue to deplete our hard earned money thinking that we are contributing to our country's progress.

Natawar's dilema
by k. mallick on Aug 10, 2006 08:44 AM  Permalink

It is pity, if allegations are true, that high profile officials can stoop so low to push a nation's interest to the back seat ... How can we walk with heads up ?
