Inadequate Security Awareness.
by Yashawant Bhatt on Aug 12, 2006 06:29 PM  Permalink

We have yet not understood the paramount importance of the security functioning, and still thinking security 'watchman minded'business.

We have to up-grade our security awareness and recognise that security is also important profession. Our police training also needs to be upgraded and ethical code should be framed for the police and defence.

Terror watch
by Amarnath on Aug 10, 2006 07:12 PM  Permalink

India should never let the guard down, when it comes to security.Britain escaped another possible mayhem because of the close watch mounted by its M15 over a period of many months. If the terror plot has been foiled by Britain, there is a lesson in it for us.We are a nation of people who tend to slip into a state of indifference after every terrorist strike. There is a big media hype, countless discussions, front page news, prime time coverage and then... How else can we explain the fact that our vast coastline is left unguarded as proved by CNN-IBNs Operation Rat Hole along the Maharashtra coast where the 'D'gang smuggled in explosives in the run up to the serial blasts in Mumbai in 1993.No other country would ever take things easy especially after such a slip up that cost us so dearly in terms of life and property. It's no good crying over spilt milk.India needs a strategy of very aggressive defence. We need to be proactive , not reactive.

It just comfirmed again and again that how we (blindly follow the WEST infact they are our DEMI GODS)

If somethings like this happens in India. the UK or the west press will write ( incase they write at all that is!) the Indian police have CLAIMED to have foiled terrorist attack......
as if putting/raising a doubt on our police force capabilties ....but we Indians go gaga at UK police achievements and go one step ahead confirming their deed.....nothimg wrong ..but you know what I mean

by K R Panicker on Aug 10, 2006 04:20 PM  Permalink

Once and again repeating threats to the Globe who is benefitted? We are deeply sorry to mention here that nature itself is very nervous to human so that unwanted harrasment be being done to humanity. Almity may excuse this type of cursable doings.
